Nashoba Gardens: A year later and here we still reside!
http://nashobagardens.blogspot.com/2011/09/goodbye-and-hello.html
Live Garden. Cook. Sunday, September 4, 2011. A year later and here we still reside! I hope you'll come along for the ride. I can't promise what it'll be like, because my sense is that it will not encompass quite the same things that this one has. It will be broader in scope, and with any luck, a little more involved with the art and cooking side of the life. Labels: black wing bird. A year later and here we still reside! Cool Places to Scope Out. Artwork by K. Hoover. The Missing Cap, poetry by teens.

http://nashobagardens.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Live Garden. Cook. Friday, June 22, 2012. I recently learned to make this amazing treat.and can't stop! So simple. And so wonderful on home baked bread. One quart heavy cream, not ultra-pasteurized. 1/4 cup of cultured buttermilk. Most grocery stores carry this. Note, you can also use 3-4 tbs. of unflavored active culture Greek yogurt, or a mesothelic starter culture.I like buttermilk.it's quick and simple.). Mix together in non-reactive pot and slowly heat to approximately 110-115 degrees. And turn it on.

Live Garden. Cook. Friday, June 22, 2012. Amazing how the time does fly. I updated that last post, but it was actually written close to a year ago! I've been busy packing up the farm the last several months, and it's been quite an arduous task. Of course, since I had planned on moving MUCH earlier this year, and of course, since that didn't happen, I had to plant my entire garden so that it would be mobile. I recently learned to make this . Since I knew Id be moving, . Cool Places to Scope Out.

Live Garden. Cook. Sunday, April 6, 2008. Nashoba Fala Ishto Gardens. Nashoba means wolf in the Chickasaw language. Fala ishto means raven. These are the two spirit totems that watch over the gardens, and have been around in my life for a good long while. My grandfather was Chickasaw, and although I never met him as he died long before I was born, (in fact, he died when my mom was only 3 months old,) he has had a great impact on my life.
