The Zinnendorf Homepage

A German in South Africa. May 29, 2012. One of the most stunning views in South Africa: the Drakensberg mountains. Even though I didn't make it to the peak because of my vertigo, it was still a memorable re-visit. also because of the worst sunburn in my life. And there are some big birds too :). Posted by MBA Marc at 22:43. January 03, 2012. Mauritius Xmas and New Year 2011/1012. The beach at Le Meridien. One of many firsts. This time the first Piña Colada on a beach. Fruit bats sleeping in the trees.

The Zinnendorf Homepage: Football!

http://agermaninsouthafrica.blogspot.com/2009/06/football.html

A German in South Africa. June 04, 2009. With the national football leagues on holidays, it's tough. At least we have the Confederations Cup in South Africa. Last Saturday, I took the opportunity and went to see the game Spain-South Africa in Bloemfontein! On our way, fully equipped with flags and football caps. The only party in town: the stadium. The only nice spot in Bloemfontein that we found. Posted by MBA Marc at 19:42. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

The Zinnendorf Homepage: Kruger Park revisited

http://agermaninsouthafrica.blogspot.com/2010/03/kruger-park-revisited.html

A German in South Africa. March 30, 2010. Two male lions that we bumped into on the road. Unfortunately, they walked away too fast. A strange big bird. A whole elephant family. One was actually threatening to attack us when they crossed the road, so instead of taking more pictures, I was busy getting the shit out of there. Posted by MBA Marc at 20:30. The Zinnendorf Homepage: Moving south...

http://agermaninsouthafrica.blogspot.com/2009/03/moving-south.html

A German in South Africa. March 13, 2009. After almost 14 years in North Africa (Barcelona), I eventually decided to move to South Africa (Johannesburg). Considering that I wouldn t really miss anything about Barcelona except for Barça and a French girl, it was a relatively easy decision. An interesting fact I found is that there are roughly 10 million trees in Joburg. Considering that the population, including the surrounding areas, is about 10 million people, this means 1 tree per person!

A German in South Africa. January 03, 2012. Mauritius Xmas and New Year 2011/1012. The beach at Le Meridien. One of many firsts. This time the first Piña Colada on a beach. The soon to be diver ready for the first lessons. The snake that got us lots of free drinks and meals. After that, Theresa was sort of a Goddess at the hotel. What is left of the new scuba gear after losing a fin. The most important place at night. The bar. Pirate ships for tourists seem to be a favourite among the visitors. Christmas...

a German Experience

Saturday, December 29, 2012. I do not drive. This means I must get to work via bus or foot. Anyone who has lived or grown up in Minnesota knows that the sole prudent dress for such a scenario is only the over-layered, nearly immobile, snow-suit clad character as described in a Louie Anderson early stand-up. Is the convenience worth $125 once a week to drive to the mall? Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry. Posted by Rick L. Sunday, December 16, 2012. A White Winterland; Week 4 in Mpls. A German Life

Sunday, February 12, 2012. Every dollar the U.S. government spends on family planning reduces Medicaid expenditures by $3.74! If each employer (such as the catholic church and other affiliated institutions, can reserve the right to raise "moral objections" to almost each and every aspect of a broad-based healthcare coverage then we are in real trouble! Treatment for gender identity problems in teenagers? In these times of a religiously and ideologically based culture war anything is possible! Saturday, F...
