I love the composition, every corner. felt like the roses are competing with the vase and finally gave up. Composition styles are primarily based on the shapes of “A CLOTH”. It was a little difficult for me to paint directly without any boundaries or a shape to fill, but somehow I could manage the shape. This is a painting I did in a “studio study” with Tricia. You can paint the same with a limited (RYB) or a full palette which would make the object look totally different. I chose to use a full palette (secondary colors included). March 8, 2010 at 10:23 am. Glazing is done using transparent colors. raw umber, burnt sienna, sap green, ultramarine blue, Indian yellow are few of the them. titanium white, cad yellow, etc., are opaque.
