Evergreen Mo: Meet up
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015/08/meet-up.html
Saturday, 8 August 2015. I attended a morning business meeting with www.kalamkaridundee.co.uk I am a founder member of this textile group but have not managed many meetings this year. It was good to meet up. I now know the timetable I need to work to. "Kalamkari at Aberlady" will be opening on Jan16th - 17th Feb 2016. More information nearer the time. Made it to the beach this week, on a very dull but dry day. Notices were catching my eye. This looked a bit serious and after last week I thought I`d bette...

Evergreen Mo: July 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 July 2015. Opened my workbook and flicking through the pages. Trying to focus on the work I need to crack on with. Have extended the lines on this drawing. Just playing to get started again. Added stitch to this page and am considering using this drawing as a backing to one of the shelves. Considering it, but not sure, it might work better printed onto fabric. So on with Coastline project. Had a morning at the beach and came back with enough bits and bobs to start on the jars again. So still l...

Evergreen Mo: Not much happening
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015/08/not-much-happening.html
Saturday, 1 August 2015. Very little work done on" Coastlines". Not managed a beach visit - weather - other things to deal with. Will be away for a few days so hopefully when I return I will get working again. Added a map to 3rd book. Made 1st postcard, not quite finished. These were drawn on water soluble paper. Did them to take part in Sketchbook and Experiments For Textiles. Stitched paper to organza and stitched over drawing. 1 August 2015 at 07:52. Map is a cool addition to the top piece. Your work ...

Evergreen Mo: March 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 March 2015. Thank you for looking in. Last week I posted after a few days work and it showed. Printing colour was wrong. I used wrong photo for back inside cover. The one I posted was from a copy free web site, beautiful photos but not my twilight photo. I printed wheat instead of barley and so on and on. We have all been there , sometimes it is possible to rescue a piece of work. Not this time. Truth to be told so was I. The results are now acceptable. Own up most folks have. Have left thread...

Evergreen Mo: August 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 16 August 2015. A bit of this and that. A little crowing here. Both my books - The Cycle Begins and Lughnasadh have been selected for the EDGE exhibition. Very pleased as these were worked as I was nursing my husband through a terminal illness. The power of creativity to keep one going - to find respite for an hour or two - to have ones mind filled with creative dust instead of daily reality.Making these books was my life line. Yes both books have been accepted". Cause for another cuppa and a bun.

Evergreen Mo: February 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 25 February 2015. Took this photo yesterday when it was bright and sunny. Today rainy and grey but the memory of these little Spring beauties has kept me bright and cheerful. This is the first Helleborus orientalis fully out in my garden. You do need to get down on all fours to be able to see the wonderful markings inside the petals of these flowers. The wind had moved this flowerhead so I only needed to crouch thus saving my knees. Sunday, 22 February 2015. Can you spot the difference? The sn...

Evergreen Mo: June 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 June 2015. Dyed the last of my narrow, white, silk ribbon to match book. I need to source more. I do like this silk ribbon and it dyes well. I have used it many times to wrap books. Problem is I bought it ages ago and cant remember where. This book has been fun to make and I am pleased with the way the different papers have blended together. Some of the finished pages. The book feels good to hold. Just the right size to fit into ones palm. At very early stages of construction. Has to be. This ...

Evergreen Mo: April 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 April 2015. 4 Seasons in one day. Really been 4 seasons in one day. I have been bringing my greenhouse plants outside every morning but today it is too cold, rainy and windy. They stay inside in the warmth today. Two types of lily bulbs grown on from last year and pots and pots of Fuchsia. I usually lose a few Fuchsia over Winter but this year it was quite mild and all have survived. This clematis is one of the alpina varieties. Lovely strong colour. It scrambles up an old Rowen tree. Threa...

Evergreen Mo: May 2015
http://evergreenmo.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, 31 May 2015. Paint, Paper and Fun. Source material being pinned onto my cardboard ideas board. My studio ( little room ) is lacking a proper wall to pin ideas onto so I nail up a large piece of cardboard packaging - needs must ( fairy magic says " it is recycling after all ). Have been looking at fences on the coast so with paper, paint and fun I have begun adding to my workbook. Perhaps looking at a subdued palette. Carefully measured to fit into wooden shelf unit. Plan for coming week. 2 Get to...
