Iowa Chops: June 2006
http://iowachops.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 27, 2006. Sounds Like Espionage to Me. The blogosphere, at least the on the right, is up in arms about the NY Times' publication of this story. Michael Barone poses the obvious question "Why do they hate us? About the Times in this Real Clear Politics post. What do you all think? Does the Times really see the administration as a bigger threat than the terrorists? Posted by Dan at 8:35 AM. Wednesday, June 21, 2006. In-State Tuition" Takes on a Whole New Meaning? Nussle also is calling for an...

Tuesday, June 27, 2006. Freedom Festival Part II: Glenn Miller Band. As I said in the last post the Freedom festival has many fabulous activities for the whole family. They have the Cardboard Boat Regatta, the dragon boat race, the BBQ roundup, and the Glenn Miller Band. Those are only a few of the many activities going on during the 2 weeks that is the Freedom Festival. I want to focus this post on one of the events: the Glenn Miller Band. Here are some of the pictures from the concert. Working at MCI/V...

The Leopard: April 2006
http://lv-leopard.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 29, 2006. Ted Thompson is an idiot! Chad Jackson falls all the way down to #35 in the draft (the Packers 2nd round pick) and he trades the pick away to the Patriots. It wouldn't be bad if the Packers knew that Walker would be back, but then they trade away Walker to the Broncos. What should they then do with the 37th pick? Let's trade that away too. FIRE TED THOMPSON! Get him the HELL out of there! Can you sense my anger here? Here's to another top five pick in next years draft. 2 Sign Ch...

Sunday, May 28, 2006. Posted by Nate @ 9:49 PM. UPDATE: The End of the Road for the Cubs Fan. I think so. Yeah, you may still say it is early, and Lee, Prior, and Miller (Wade) aren't back yet, but that won't matter. The Cubs always find a way to lose. Nathan, Dan, you have to agree with me. Fire Dusty, put Bob Brenly in there. Hendry, your Baker experiment failed miserably. Give up. Maybe next year Cubs fans. Posted by Nate @ 6:57 AM. Apple Computers come through again. This was all possible because he ...

Tuesday, July 11, 2006. A few nights ago, my lovely wife and I had the opportunity to take a stroll around downtown CR during a beautiful sunset / moonrise. Here are a few pictures from the walk:. Moonrise over the Great America Building, Science Station, and Third Avenue Bridge. The top of Vets Memorial and City Hall with the eternal flame a-glow. Looking northwest at the Tree of Five Seasons. Ah summer evenings in my home city! Posted by Dan at 10:46 PM. View my complete profile. The Morning Has Broken.

Iowa Chops: Money Magazine Calls CR Da Bomb
http://iowachops.blogspot.com/2006/07/money-magazine-calls-cr-da-bomb.html
Tuesday, July 18, 2006. Money Magazine Calls CR Da Bomb. Ok, so that headline is probably misleading, perhaps even a downright lie. But hey, that's what headlines are for now, right? The whole point is to get lazy readers who won't actually read the article to think what you want them to by writing eye-catching, deceitful headlines. Ah, the spiraling shape. Three Iowa towns made the list: CR. And Naperville, Illinois. Posted by Dan at 7:09 AM. Also from babyfit.com. I hardly think that qualifies as 'da b...
