TODAY, I’m thinking about… | Mary Agius | Bringing Hope and Humor Home

https://maryagius.wordpress.com/blog

A little about me. TODAY, I’m thinking about…. Walk with me, share the light. March 9, 2015. Impressions. That’s all I have sometimes. Whispers in a world that is screaming so very loud. Gentle, inaudible stirring in my heart leading me on. Like a teeny little birthday candle to lead me up a moonless mountain pass. I wander. I stumble. I poke my way in the dark, see so little. Merely just the step in front of me. No more, no less. Lighten the way before me, give me more sight I ask. But you do not. Over ...

Christmas Unwrapped | Mary Agius

https://maryagius.wordpress.com/2014/12/26/christmas-unwrapped

A little about me. TODAY, I’m thinking about…. December 26, 2014. When my children were young and their Christmas gifts more plentiful, we’d make a game out of throwing away the wrapping paper. A large black lawn bag would be propped up in the corner of the room. Gift paper would be balled up and shot at the waiting hoop. On the day after Christmas, all that remained was the gifts. Unwrapped and sitting underneath the tree. What would we play with, put together or enjoy? A glimpse of eternity, one more t...

I choose to celebrate #alittlebitofchristmas every day | Mary Agius

https://maryagius.wordpress.com/2014/12/01/i-choose-to-celebrate-alittlebitofchristmas-every-day

A little about me. TODAY, I’m thinking about…. I choose to celebrate #alittlebitofchristmas every day. December 1, 2014. For a Christian, there is nothing worth celebrating more than the birth of our Savior. Love come to earth. A love that gave us gifts. Joy. Peace. Salvation. But do we actually enjoy those gifts in the daily madness of the holiday season as we prepare for Christmas day? But what if instead of waiting until December 25. We could unwrap a little bit of the gift of Christmas today? 2 thoug...

In need or in plenty | Mary Agius

https://maryagius.wordpress.com/2014/11/27/in-need-or-in-plenty

A little about me. TODAY, I’m thinking about…. In need or in plenty. November 27, 2014. There were three of them mom, dad and older teen daughter. Their cart contained only a handful of items. When mom asked about purchasing something, the dad replied gruffly to just tell him how much it was. I confess my first thought was that he probably just had enough of grocery shopping and wanted to bah-humbug his way out of there. Until I saw the calculator in his hand. We have to get bread. Give thanks to God.

The Gift of Hope at Christmas | Mary Agius

https://maryagius.wordpress.com/2014/12/16/the-gift-of-hope-at-christmas

A little about me. TODAY, I’m thinking about…. The Gift of Hope at Christmas. December 16, 2014. For young children, Christmas often brings a mountain of presents. As the big brown truck pulls up outside and deposits yet another supply from out of state relatives, the pile under the tree grows ever higher. Add to that stash a trip to Grandma’s house, and Santa doesn’t even need to come. A child can be overwhelmed. It’s easy to get lost in the fluff and wrapping paper. Is it healing from sickness? The unw...

A Hunger Artist

Monday, August 12, 2013. Yeah, They Do Call Them Bagels. I'm always happy when someone who makes food from scratch is successful. And unlike those food critics who seem to take joy in comminuting anyone who dares to offend their sense of gastronomic superiority, it is very difficult for me to criticize anyone who through hard work and honest effort makes their living by cooking or baking. Links to this post. Labels: bad food and cooking. Sunday, May 19, 2013. Nose to Tail in BS. About one woman's "crusad...

Memoirs of an Invisible Man. I long for the naivete and foolish hope of youth. When the distractions still and I think of the future, I don’t see anything anymore. Posted 3 years ago. Greater than Lapsed has raised “Ten Serious Questions for Religious Believers.”. As with any serious questions, it’s a lot easier to. Serious questions than it is to. But before answering the questions, I want to tweak some of Greater than Lapsed questions and ask her for some answers of her own. Her questions are here.

I got down and dirty and I loved it. This past weekend my old buddy from high school, Matt, and I ran a 5k mud run. It was glorious. There’s just something about running a race that I can’t describe, it may be the adrenaline rush, but I think it’s something much more. Filed under: Health Happenings. 124; Tagged: Cross Country.
