Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study

The Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study (MACS) is a 30-year study of the HIV-1 infection in homosexual and bisexual men. When I was told I had HIV, there was no counseling, testing, or referral. I was told straight out I had 5 6 months to live. MACS was a way to put a face to HIV a way to build community. Carlton R. Smith. The MACS study is conducted. Welcome to AIDS Combat International. From April 2002 to April 2008 ACI has served 1123 people living with HIV/AIDS. Two mobile vans started for Home visit counselling. Day care centre was started in 2003. Services provided to PLHA. ART were supplied to 25 HIV infected children. Nutritional support to 17 HIV positive widows. As most of the patients are from slums and lower middle class they often avoid attending Health facilities. Home Based Care works wonders in bringing back. CARE AND SUPPORT FOR.
