Airfield Lakes: Stunning Twenties
http://blog.airfieldlakes.com/2012/10/stunning-twenties.html
Saturday, 6 October 2012. The water temperature has dropped very quickly this year and the Mustang Carp are showing a preference to lighter beds of bait. A scattering of 30-50 quality boilies over a rod is what has accounted for most fish and there has been some stunning 20s banked since my last post. There has only been two pike anglers down in a week and they both had six odd fish to each. I think the biggest was around 13lb. Hope you like the pics. Posted by Rich Wilby.

Airfield Lakes: May 2012
http://blog.airfieldlakes.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 22 May 2012. 50lb 4oz Venue Record. A very quick blog just to say Gary Lewis has banked Spitfire Pool's big common, "The Wood", at a massive 50lb 4oz. She looked amazing on the bank and it was a pleasure to do the photo's for Gary. Well done bud, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Hope you like the pic's. Posted by Rich Wilby. Airfield Lakes: August 2012
http://blog.airfieldlakes.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 21 August 2012. Despite the heat wave and the lack of anglers in the last week, Mustang has produced a lot of action, with at least three anglers taking multiple hits of twenties. The odd day has been a little slow (when it has been silly hot), but the anglers who have baited heavily with pellets and boilies have been most successful. Big PVA bags, bait boats or accurate spodding seems to be best. Plus baiting up regularly will keep the runs coming. I hope you like the pics. Posted by Rich Wilby.

Airfield Lakes: December 2011
http://blog.airfieldlakes.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 23 December 2011. A quick blog, just to wish everyone that has come to the fishery this year a very Merry Christmas. Since we opened in March 2011 I can't believe how much Mustang Lake has matured and how quickly the carp are growing. I have lost count of how many people have caught their first twenty for the venue this year and it reaA quick blog, just to wish everyone that has come to the fishery this year a very Merry Christmas. Airfield Lakes: Winter Wonderland
http://blog.airfieldlakes.com/2012/11/winter-wonderland.html
Friday, 23 November 2012. As most have you know, I've stopped doing blogs on a regular basis because posting photo's up of fish as they're caught or when I get sent them on Facebook seems to get a much bigger response. I prefer it that way as well, as it is more current. But not all my anglers follow Facebook, so I will continue with blogs every month or so to round up what's been happening. If I remember last November was slow, especially compared to October, so things are the other way round this year.

Ian Bardell Carp Angler: January 2013
http://thetfordangler.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Ian Bardell Carp Angler. A blog from a self confessed carp angler addict. First session of the year. My first session of the year was a 36 hour session on Monday 7th January and was a fairly uneventful session. Before my session had started my video camera had packed up and wouldn't charge, then half way through the Monday one of my alarms batteries run out and unusual for me I never had a spare set of batteries, so I was not impressed and not the best way to start the year. The temperature seemed to hav...

Ian Bardell Carp Angler: Monday 21st – Tuesday 22nd May

Ian Bardell Carp Angler. A blog from a self confessed carp angler addict. Monday 21st – Tuesday 22nd May. A cheeky over night session. I visited the lake in the Monday morning to see how it was fishing especially after the BCAC pairs match with a view of doing a 24 hour session later that day. I loaded up my barrow, on my way round to my swim I spoke to Rob again and told him about the Wood Common, we both agreed it would be the ultimate catch. After removing the weed I weighed the fish, it tipped the sc...

Ian Bardell Carp Angler: New challenges
http://thetfordangler.blogspot.com/2013/05/new-challenges.html
Ian Bardell Carp Angler. A blog from a self confessed carp angler addict. This season is going to be a different season for me: full of new challenges, apart from the personal targets I have set myself, I will be fishing two completely different waters: a day ticket water, Airfield lakes and an undisclosed exclusive syndicate. There has been two periods of four months that I have blanked, one of these was between August and November, in this time all the weed in the lake died off, then I caught two fish ...
