Illustration, Book and Web Design by KRISTEN SCHWARTZ: A JOURNEY ILLUSTRATED
http://kristenschwartz.blogspot.com/p/journey-illustrated.html
It isn't always easy to change gears and go a new direction when you're already familiar with the road ahead. For a long time I wanted to illustrate children's books. In 2009, I finally took the plunge and applied to the Nevada SCBWI Mentor Program to start my journey. I was chosen out of a pool of applicants to work with award winning illustrator, Yuyi Morales. It was an amazing honor and opportunity. You can follow my journey into children's publishing at A Journey Illustrated. Subscribe in a Reader:.

Illustration, Book and Web Design by KRISTEN SCHWARTZ: February 2011
http://kristenschwartz.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

But four weeks between posts is just too long, so I thought I'd pop in and do a quick post on.blog posts. If a topic seems stale, try coming at it with humor or from an unexpected angle to breathe new life into it. Perhaps it is a common topic that has been discussed to death and you have a unique viewpoint on the matter.
