http://infertilityandmeuk.blogspot.com/2009/09/nhs-waiting-list-fiasco.html
NHS Waiting List fiasco! 160;Wednesday, 2 September 2009. I received a letter from the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (Little France) telling me that I will be put on the NHS IVF waiting list from 01 July 2010. Wait that isn't the best bit."the waiting time for NHS treatment is currently upwards of 3 years". I will be on the waiting list only to get to the top and have them tell me that I'm too old, sorry about that! I'm so glad that we are in a position where we can afford to pay for IVF, I can only imagi...

A blog about infertility and the pain of miscarriage. Laquo; My hematologist, etc. Dentists, ultrasounds, and in-laws. September 11, 2009. 1 I’m starting to enjoy going to the dentist because they’re so hopeful. They say things like. Come back when you’re eight months pregnant for your six month cleaning! After you have your baby, get your wisdom teeth removed. Wow, these people think pregnancy equals babies. They don’t know pregnancy =. Is this your first pregnancy? 3 I just found out Jack’s paren...

The Saga of Becoming Fruitful. Journey through infertility ain’t easy nor cheap. Still, God is good…. Ganirelix was not in my original protocol. But trust my overachieving ovaries to mess up the plan…. So, I got my receipt for the 3 syringes of Ganirelix from Todd’s in the mail today. I should have expected it to be expensive for after all, what infertility med does not cost an arm (and a leg? Now maybe, I did not hear her right? Maybe she said $120 and I just heard it wrong? 032309 at 2:33 pm }. I am us...

The Saga of Becoming Fruitful. Journey through infertility ain’t easy nor cheap. Still, God is good…. IVF#1 – Egg Retrieval Report. Hey, I’m back at our hotel room. The ER went smoothly and just like what the other ladies commented before me – the nurses (Liz, Lynn and Melody) and doctors were very efficient yet had excellent bedside manners! They have 7 retrievals and 7 transfers today – now who says there is a recession? They were also on time for the next retrievals. Dr Gustof did the ER. For Embryo T...

The Saga of Becoming Fruitful. Journey through infertility ain’t easy nor cheap. Still, God is good…. I wish my news were different…. I am not pregnant. My triplets did not survive. My nurse called this afternoon to tell us the news and that she’s sorry. She instructed me to stop all meds. Dr Sch called later too but we were not able to talk. Maybe tomorrow. So I hope I do not have to have a D and C but instead miscarry naturally. As for the rest if the 8 good eggs? God is still good. 070709 at 9:53 pm }.

So since I have been a truant blogger, here’s what’s been up till today:. 28 eggs retrieved - 21 eggs mature - 20 eggs biopsied - 15 eggs tested normal. Dr Sch recommended to thaw 10 eggs and transfer back 4 embryos. (As if! As if we’re going to have that much embryos for transferring ha? If it is a day 5 transfer, then that is another story!
