Demondrille - Kingsvale in HO. Kingsvale, NSW 1963. A view of Kingsvale station, looking north towards Cowra c1963. Courtesy Ken Ames, "From Grease to Gold Braid". Saturday, 29 November 2014. I was keen to complete a model to display at the New England Convention. One that I've been eager to build was one of the two Mike McCormac Models LFX kits I bought some time ago. I saw the effort Mike put into the design of these kits and the accuracy he was aiming for and knew they would be a joy to build. After t...

Lately I've been diverted by selling my Mother's house and sorting out her retirement living arrangements, studying for my MBA, plus the usual work and family commitments. Here plaster sheet has been draped over the foam. I learnt here that the foam wasn't shaped enough and the edges are too visible and prevent a nice...

Modelling a platform - 1. It turns out I posted many of those photos of Kings' Vale already, so I must remember not to post so late at night. Or perhaps it's a sign of early dementia. Here is a bit more detail on how I went about modelling the platform for Kingsvale. I've been finding a bit of time and getting into it...

Sunday, April 1, 2012. Exhibiting is long and exhausting, it is weeks in the planning and you are busier then a one armed banjo picker with worms. But I have made many good friends because of it, in particular Tom Rogers and Craig Warton who’s assistance at shows was priceless. Meeting guys like this is worth the effort. Anyway, enuf with the touchy feely stuff! Where to For Bowen now? Http:/ ajrm.com.au/. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A Week of Leisure. Iain Robinson - Modelmaking.

Constructing a peice of NSWGR in 7mm. Sunday, 17 March 2013. Timber semaphore's are currently available. From Kerian Ryan Models for NS. WGR 7 mm O scale [. But searching the web lead to examining the possibility of using the Great Western Railway semaphore kits marketed by Peco [#LK-790] to create a plausible NSWGR working semaphore. Kerian Ryan's signal is an all brass model, highly accurate and excellent value but some modellers feel more comfortable in plastic and well - this one looks different!
