Our Adoption Journey Blog. Thursday, July 31, 2008. There is one more step between us and a definite departure date, and that is an appointment with the Consulate in China. We've received word that our appointment has tentatively been scheduled for August 26th, but we are still waiting for this to be official. (sigh) Please pray that tomorrow brings us some answers! Monday, September 23, 2013. It's been almost a month since our adoption day. It's just unbelievable to me that time has already gone so quickly. Life goes quickly. Then my oldest has asked to also come home for virtual school. So that will be another adjustment. How do we get her into our mix? We are back into the fall routines. Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Really in this space that is "in-between", it has been probably the past period of working with the system. We have a WONDERFUL. Getting through "in-between" will be stepping out into what hopefully is the last stop on our journey to adoption. And we may know as soon as tomorrow. How quickly we can step into that last space of time before our adoption. So today, I woke up with " Tomorrow. Stuck in my head. The irony that it is being sung by an orphan isn't lost on me either.
