The B-log: September 2011
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 8, 2011. Sunday came early, we got to the race plenty early cause I had to pick up my packet and Sonia was doing the trail run that started at 8. We hung out, I casually got ready, and tried to keep Sonia focused on the trail run. My race started at 9, with an 800 meter swim, ugh! I sat around for a while but was really not feeling well so Sonia hauled me home. We had to stop on the way to get that bowling ball out of my stomach but that made things much better. Have a good day!

The B-log: February 2012
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. Four weeks ago tomorrow I got out of bed way early to travel up to Warda. For the annual Dirty Dozen/Super 6 12 and 6 hour mountain bike races. I signed up for the 6 hour race. Turns out there were some pretty bitchin. The races had also been shortened from 12 to 8 and from 6 to 4 hours. I call my race the Filthy Four instead of the Super Six. I was doing well, passing people, and feeling good. Then the second lap happened, I was about 1/4 of the way into the lap and all of...

http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2012/01/excruciating.html
Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Last weekend was the annual race from Warda to Rocky Hill and then back to Warda. The morning started early (4:00 early), on the road by 4:30 and at the gas station by 4:35. It was real foggy but that didn't slow me down, had to get to race! The race started at 7:30 with a racers' meeting at 7:15. I got all ready to go only to realize I had lost my car keys. panic! Now it's back to training. Next weekend Sonia and I are travelling to rural Alabama to visit Sonia's Mom, Maria&...

The B-log: Rocky Hill Horror Show
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2011/06/rocky-hill-horror-show.html
Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Rocky Hill Horror Show. So somehow I convinced Sonia to come out to Rocky Hill to ride and check out some sweet singletrack even though both I and another one of her friends told her she would hate it the first time. I'm pretty sure that is what happened. We went out on Friday so we could get out for an early pre-ride on Saturday. It was effin' hot and super humid! Came out at one point. Then she realized why the course was Rocky Hill : ). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Astron...

The B-log: January 2011
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 9, 2011. The long eared donkey, I understand if you have never seen this movie. Christmas was good, I got a sweet math clock, a pedal wrench and a sweet bow tie among other things. Since I was around Houston I was working but it turned out to be a pretty good week to work since most everyone took off for vacation. I finally got caught up on some work that I had been putting off and got to catch up on a bit of geology. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Badass Ryan from Wisconsin. Have a good day!

The B-log: November 2010
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 2, 2010. A delayed report about that. 24 hour race is better than no report at all. Friday night before the race was filled with eager anticipation and last minute preparation. Slightly apprehensive about how I would do after racing the weekend before I just took it easy and relaxed most of the evening occasionally checking the weather report. I went to bed pretty early to try to get ahead on the sleep deficit that was inevitable. The race was great, Terra Firma Promo. Have a good day!

The B-log: August 2011
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 27, 2011. Can it be this hot? I guess Mother Nature is holding the magnifying glass on Houston this past month and a half. For some reason though, 108 degrees seems a bit extreme. Check out the weather here. We've already set the record for the most consecutive days in a row over 100 degrees, somewhere around 23 or 24 days I think, and there's no end in sight. An 800 meter swim, 12 mile bike and 4 mile run and then I'll be able to try to rehydrate. Hopefully no overheating tomorrow!

The B-log: April 2011
http://bbarber215.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 28, 2011. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. After 4.5 hours of riding I took the best nap ever then went and celebrated my friend Johanna's birthday. A bit of laser tag and watching some go-kart racing followed by good food and a couple beers make for a good Saturday. Easter came around early. I made it to church, first time in Htown, and then hit up some breakfast with friends. Delicious! The swimming is definitely getting better. Monday, April 18, 2011. Dipping my toe into the XTerra waters.
