Prairie Songs: Museum Gets Rave Reviews
http://blakleyhomeplace.blogspot.com/2015/05/museum-gets-rave-reviews.html
Thursday, May 14, 2015. Museum Gets Rave Reviews. A museum that kids beg to go see, you say. A museum of osteology? You have to be kidding me. Nope The museum of osteology has become a favorite with all the grandkids. It is Plan B for any fun trip that falls through and it never disappoints. The thrills begin in the lobby where you can view the flesh eating beetles at work. Oh yeah! A word to the wise: do not despair if, as you are driving, you begin to think you probably missed a turn-off somewhere....

Prairie Songs: Interviews with Kids
http://blakleyhomeplace.blogspot.com/2015/05/interviews-with-kids.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Things my mother taught me. These are the answers given me by Abbey's children's about what their mother taught them. Maggie: (age 5 1/2). How to sew and start learning how to knit. How to bake my own things without a recipe. How to cook pizza, muffins, doughnuts, cookies. How to use the TV remote. How to do yoga with her. She helps me learn my French. She helps me with my coloring and scrap booking. She taught me how to garden. She taught me how to dance. Everett: (age almost 3).

Prairie Songs: Mother's Day Weekend
http://blakleyhomeplace.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-weekend.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Mother's Day did not disappoint, which was surprisingly wonderful (? Able and Kari came out and did some serious tree/shrub trimming and hauling (blessings on your heads) on Friday. The cool, cloudy day made for pleasant work, most of mine amounted to some labor intensive pointing at what needed to be cut and hauled. Ha! I came close to getting a cramp in my index finger. Things look much neater around the 'inner sanctum' now. The rest of the day was filled with wild group runs thr...

AT HOME: Ten on whatever day this is...

Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Ten on whatever day this is. 1 I'm not going to attempt to recap life right now, just going with straight random thoughts gathered as the tornado sirens intermittently go off in the background. At some point, I'm not sure how useful they are. I think they've gone off at least 7 times. 2 Our house is on the market. 3 We have "tentatively" entered a contingency agreement to buy this house. 5 After the super stress filled day that ended with making an offer on the house, we had famil...

AT HOME: Ten on Tuesday
http://athomewiththerichardsfamily.blogspot.com/2015/04/ten-on-tuesday.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2015. 2 The carpet people are driving me insane. They set a date, twice, and changed it. This causes a cascade of rescheduling every appointment after theirs that requires that the carpet be finished first. This made me exceptionally angry and was the straw that broke the "holding myself together." There were tears and curse words. 7 I am forgetful as I try to juggle all the things - One thing I forgot to mention was B's incredibly cute Pirate square dance program last week. I lo...

AT HOME: Five on Friday

Friday, May 8, 2015. Random favorites in the middle of chaos:. 1) Yoga with Adriene. I am doing this 30 days of yoga series via her utube channel. Each day is only 15-30 minutes, so I often add other things to the end or do it in combination with my cardio, but it is good and really interesting to have all that variety in yoga options. 3 Lemon Mint Leaf Candle. Option is in second place). Ok, these are. Out of my three stitch fix boxes I have purchased four items. The sweatshirt, a cool flowy cardiga...
