A collaborative performance and media project with Risa Horn. 2014 via the Backpack Gallery. At the DUMBO Arts Festival, New York. On day 1 we invited participants to record a story of something they had lost, that they still missed. On day 2, visitors lifted the receiver to hear recorded stories collected the day before. Interaction design and physical interface whatnot. A circular narrative experience made with vintage Viewmasters. Create a narrative that is perfectly circular: readers can enter the story at any point and make sense of the action, and the story has no set beginning or end. You have 16 moves. I repurposed a vintage German "Plastikop" souvenir slide viewer, taking the small device apart and substituting my own imagery and text for scenes of German towns and medieval architecture.
