The Eckerö Post and Customs House, designed by the architects Carl Ludvig Engel and Carlo Bassi, was erected in 1828. On Åland, the Bomarsund fortress and the Eckerö Post and Customs House are the two structures most representative of the Russian period in Finnish history. The Post and Customs House constituted the customs border between Russia and Sweden for over a century.

Söndag 31 mars 2013. This is the story of a girl who cried. A river and drowned the whole world. Påsktårtan och sådant där. Vi bakade, som sagt, en påsktårta idag. En vanlig tårta fast på påsken. Fullkomligt förståeligt! Sami skar första bitarna med slående precision. Så la han ändå min bit på sida så jag inte blir gift. Hmpf. Sin egen bit la han nog allt på rätt köl! Så intog vi tårta och kaffe på altanen, fint! Vi behöver dock skaffa lite bättre möblemang till utomhusätande. Hm. Fredag 29 mars 2013.
