Friday, March 27, 2009. The immigration project was a project that we did this semester was an interesting project where I learned a lot. This project was made up of three parts, we read a book about immigration, we painted a painting based n our books, and lastly we interviewed a real immigrant that came from a different country and that lives in America now. So, first we read Lit. Circle books about immigration; the book that I was assigned was called Hello, America. Friday, March 13, 2009. If somethin...

Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Because of Romek: OP#3. 1) I thought that David Faber's community meeting was really interesting. I couldn't believe that someone that went thorough that much was standing right in front of me. As he was speaking he had so much passion in his voice and he would get really emotional. I think that it's so awesome the way that he kept that promise to his mom, telling everyone about his experiences. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Because of Romek: OP#2. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Journal #7, Chapters 25-28, Perspective of Scout. Aunt Alexandra really has no purpose of being here any longer because he has already turned someone into a girl and that was her goal all along. I know it was an obscure. Idea of her to think that she would actually succeed in doing so, into turning me into a lady, but I cant really blame her for trying to help me and Jem out. Tom Robinson's name forever and treasure it as a hero for the whole town to see. Wednesday, May 20, 2009.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Hello, America #3. This is what I love about America! The knowledge of possibility's and the freedom to achieve, if only I work hard." - Elli, page 94. Elli said this quote after her first day of work at her second job, she was telling Alex about how someday in the future she wanted to be like her co-workers Sally and Evelyn. She was just saying how people take advantage of how great America is, she says that a lot in this book. Do you think Elli will ever become a teacher?

Tuesday, December 18, 2007. So far from the Bamboo Grove: OP#5. 1 I liked the way that Yoko Kawashima ended the story, how Hideyo got there, and every thing was all peaceful, but it kind of all of a sudden just ended. Like, if they didn't have that little authors note thing at the end we would have never known what happened to the dad,and Yoko never bought her shoes, at least Hideyo finally came back. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Weekly Reading Response #1. PAGES: 1 - 200. TOTAL PAGES THIS WEEK: 200. I really liked this book, and if I had to find one main idea on what it was really about I think that it was about finding acceptance in anyone. While I was reading Rules by Cynthia Lord I found some words that I didn't understand. Grimace: when someone makes a weird face, people usally grimace when they aren't happy about something. Skyward: towrds the sky. Gauzy: when a object is transperent and light.
