Wednesday, September 26, 2012. I headed out to do some science today. My commute to the research site follows a glacier fed lake for the first eight miles. Between record snowfall last winter and a healthy amount of precipitation this summer it's been a big water year and the lake is getting too big for its britches. Their are (normally) two roughly parallel, occasionally intersecting, trails along the lake. One for ATVs and one for non-motorized users. Pretty cool if you ask me. Bankfull and Then Some.

Sunday, November 11, 2012. Here's a picture of the painting in progress. And this is the bike completed. It's not as bright as I hoped it would be but if it helps me to be more visible, it's worth it. Plus the extra coats of paint can't hurt to protect it for winter. I'm almost ready for winter. Friday, May 18, 2012. Bike to Work Day. Last week I offered to host a noon ride on Bike to Work Day to anyone interested. I received no responses except from one of my firms principals, Mike, a lean, mean, Iron Man competing machine, and he wanted to do a ride to Pryor Creek and back, some 26 miles. What on earth am I doing? I offered so I just had to suck it up and endure the punishment. I am way out of my league here! Sunday, May 13, 2012. I believe this is called Ghost Cave.
