Thousands of baby chickens lost in Picture Butte barn fire. A fire north of Lethbridge has claimed the lives of 19,000 baby chickens. A barn near the town of Picture Butte caught fire just after 9 am Saturday morning, said Picture Butte fire Chief Sam West. The owners of the farm are at a loss to explain the blaze.
