And Speaking of Beowulf... - Perchance to Dream
http://caitlincw.livejournal.com/46087.html
Caitlins Adventures in the SCA. And Speaking of Beowulf. Jan 30th, 2012 at 11:18 PM. My last entry on the glorious and near-eternal Beowulf. Was SOCKS. And they are pretty great socks. But I am also thinking in terms of performance. Some performers from the East (I think, correct me if I am wrong) have put on a full reading of Beowulf. In home territory, in a mead hall set - how cool is that? I cannot come close to his performance in a million years - the entire. Poem told in Old English. Certainly, ther...

Gotvik is a Barony! - Amor Lux Veritas
http://bippimalin.livejournal.com/116279.html
Gotvik is a Barony! 8th of Nov, 2010. Gotvik is a Barony! I am so excited, after 2,5 years we've become a Barony! This is just so amazing, I've been surfing a general wave of utter happiness and bone weary exhaustion all weekend long. Tonight I'm just gonna relax and enjoy myself, but tomorrow it is time to go though the finances and finish the job as an autocrat. Pictures, not taken by me, are available for viewing at: http:/ www.flickr.com/photos/vrank/s. November 8th, 2010 06:30 pm (UTC). All my best,.

sequentia - Jehan du Lac
http://jdulac.livejournal.com/102819.html
Sequentia - Jehan du Lac. 04 March 2012 @ 09:25 am. Last night we saw Sequentia in the persons of Benjamin Bagby and Norbert Rodenkirchen at Houghton chapel in Wellesley. There aren't the words to describe how transcendent an experience it was. It makes me want to change my name to Raedwulf and start banging out a Coppergate helm. March 1st, 2010. Just finished writing the first chapter of the second draft of my young adult novel Butterfly With Broken WIngs, about a teen with ME/CFS. A published author and editor in a workshop I did online commented on my opening and said that the teenage ansgt in the first few paragraphs reminded them of Stephenie Meyer. Cant get much better praise than that! I am so proud! 2010-03-01 01:17 pm (UTC). Hey - aim for 50, and if you get 15, that would be great! If you don't try, you don't succeed!

Entries by tag: competition. What site should I use? April 5th, 2010. Hey everyone sorry I have been absent. Laptop has been broken for nearly 2 weeks now. I have spent those few moments I can sit up promoting my charity auction, and my uncle lent me his netbook for a few days last week, which I have now again. So I will have a new auction up tomorrow. Anyway, the competition I entered where my story Aphrodite's Dream http:/ ahistoryofromance.wordpress.com/2. So my options are:. B) Laura Ann Dunks. Butte...

More on the Family Cap - brenwenthefaire
http://brenwenthefaire.livejournal.com/45766.html
More on the Family Cap. Ok, so I decided rather than reply to everyones comments I would post another entry. The answer is that there is no one answer (haha isn't that always the case). Maybe the group pays the extra costs over the family cap out of their profits to the site? Maybe having this law in place helps groups negotiate with sites? After all, we are a non profit and they may actually be willing to work something out? Another topic related to entry fees is what is a reasonable profit for an event?

ok, now I'm on a rant. - brenwenthefaire
http://brenwenthefaire.livejournal.com/45451.html
Ok, now I'm on a rant. Seeing that other kingdoms have laws instituting maximum family rates got me thinking. I don't have children so I have never paid attention to the costs to play as a family in the East Kingdom. So I decided what it would cost for a family of 4 and a family of 5 to go to the next 6 events in our kingdom. Family of 4 with a 5 yo and a 12 year old. I figured most events let 5 and under in free. Family of 5 with a 5 yo, 9, yo, and a 13 yo. Event 4: $51/ $59 day event, canadian prices.

I got placed in the short story romance competition I entered! - redtoffeenano
http://redtoffeenano.livejournal.com/15959.html
I got placed in the short story romance competition I entered! March 16th, 2010. It's been an insane few days, including a little health blip! My story Aphrodite's Dream can be found on the site here: http:/ ahistoryofromance.wordpress.com/2. I would have come third but the person in second place dropped out as she was only entering to make an even number of entries. So woo, so happy given it was my first story. They are currently doing a poll on all the entries. For your amazing last minute critique!
