The Case for Joy: May 2012
http://thecaseforjoy.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The Case for Joy. Friday, May 18, 2012. We fell in love. This time with Colbie Maureen. I can't even put into words how grateful and overjoyed I am that God has loaned us His beautiful little one to take care of on this earth. And as if I didn't have enough to be thankful for, today is my dear Tim's birthday. It sounds cliche, I know, but I am a lucky gal to do life with this crew. And because we weren't made to do life alone.I'm also entirely blessed to have a Hawaii Ohana that loves us so well. This is...

The Case for Joy: The Macro Happens
http://thecaseforjoy.blogspot.com/2012/07/the-macro-happens.html
The Case for Joy. Thursday, July 26, 2012. Sometimes I struggle with my feelings towards social networking. I have an iPhone. When I wish I'd grab my bible, I sometimes find myself scrolling through my Facebook news feed or glancing at Instagram photos. When I wish I'd stay solely in the moment with my daughters, I find myself pulling up a camera app, grabbing a shot, doing a quick edit, and texting my mom. Ugh I love the creative technology, but I hate that it tugs on me so. Post titled: Kids, I Quit!

The Case for Joy: April 2012

The Case for Joy. Thursday, April 19, 2012. Lana'i - A weekend away! Our little family hasn't been off the island since October. We were aching for some colder weather, open fields, and giant trees! Probably even more than that we just wanted to slow our pace way down. We figured Lana'i would be just the place! Simple, quaint, and quiet. We were in outer-island heaven. We loved the lawn bowling and croquet! I tried to soak in some of the history. Exploring Lana'i City was my favorite part, but I also lov...

What a dream age for a little girl. Oh, to be three. *sigh*. The girlfriend wanted a Merida Brave birthday party. and while being the new ones in town doesn't exactly make it easy to throw a party, it does make it all the more important. Easy corn-hole out of plywood!

The Case for Joy. Friday, March 30, 2012. Fabric Pennant Banner: Tutorial-ish. Mama to a two-year-old. For all practical purposes, I sound like I have the resume to be super crafty; you know, a whiz with the sewing machine, fluent in craft-store speak, blink my eyes and hem my husband's pants, etc. Unfortunately, I can't live up to any of that! Since I can't force my voice to find the melody or my hands to keep the rhythm, I'll just tackle what I can control (when I have time! Make a few pennant banners.

The Case for Joy: Easy Coffee Cake (with Greek Yogurt and Cranberries)
http://thecaseforjoy.blogspot.com/2012/08/easy-coffee-cake-with-greek-yogurt-and.html
The Case for Joy. Friday, August 3, 2012. Easy Coffee Cake (with Greek Yogurt and Cranberries). My little blue-eyed one is munching on my new favorite cranberry coffee cake creation. The end result was pretty darn good. Definitely worth sharing (it's fast and easy) and a recipe I want to archive for my own sake! Here it is uncooked. Here's what I did. Combine the following to make the cake:. Flax seed (however much you like). 1 cup yogurt (I used Greek). Mix on medium speed until batter becomes fluffy.
