But mostly I intend to write about topics other than family that I find of interest to me that I hope will be of interest to you. Also, and I want to emphasize this. I would really appreciate in-put from my readers. Sunday, August 7,...

Holtdale Farm on the Tuscy. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. The Passing of a Friend, Ed Criley. The summer between our Junior and Senior years at Kent State we participated, along with seven other geology students, in a required class mapping geology on Mt. Desert Island, Maine. The course was taught by our leading professor at Kent, Carleton Savage, a Maine native. To say we enjoyed ourselves would be the understatement of the year- -we enjoyed every second of it. Holtdale Farm on the Tuscy: January 2011
http://holtdale.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Holtdale Farm on the Tuscy. Thursday, January 27, 2011. Back At Last, also, with a "FIND A GRAVE" proposal. Maybe But could be interesting and informative. It would work something like this: One of you, anyone reading my family blog, would request a photo of a grave of such and such ancestor who is buried in this or that cemetery in "anytown." Any blog reader who is in the vicinity of that grave site would take a photo of the grave and send it to me on the Internet for publication on the blog.

Holtdale Farm on the Tuscy. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. I keep telling you that I'm back and then disappear for weeks on end: Not good. The problem, as I see it, is I've been suffering through a period of depression. Why am I depressed? I haven't a clue. But depressed I have been and still am. I've decided to fight it every way I know how and preparing and writing this blog is one of the avenues I intend to pursue in that fight. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Holtdale Farm on the Tuscy
http://holtdale.blogspot.com/2012/04/sorry-for-being-gone-so-long.html
Holtdale Farm on the Tuscy. Thursday, April 26, 2012. Speaking of age, I got to wondering about how well we Holt folks fared in this department so I took a look at my genealogy collection. On average, Holt females lived the longest, many well into their eighties. The longest lived Holt female that I could find was Amanda (Holt) Carse, daughter of William Humphry Holt and Rachael Caroline (Hamilton), who lived to be 104. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
