Archive for November, 2008. I thought I’d share a photo of The Fat One’s belly. She thought my camera was quite interesting. Here’s her tummy shot:. And here is Billy stuffing his face. November 30, 2008 at 6:42 pm. I know what I’m doing! I’m sure it felt like a nice stretch down her neck and back though. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to be encouraging her to drop her head quite so low though, I certainly wouldn’t like her to do it if I was on her! November 29, 2008 at 8:13 pm. Good one. So then of co...

Archive for February, 2009. February 24, 2009 at 11:49 am. I mentioned fresh growth in my last post – well I brought Billy in for a ride yesterday morning and he turned into a boofhead! He is just horrible when he gets on fresh grass – his mind is just not on to it, and he pretty much ignores me. Not his normal polite self at all! February 24, 2009 at 7:59 am. February 24, 2009 at 7:51 am. I didn’t need more after hours callout fees! This is what it looks like from the side:. February 21, 2009 at 10:20 am.

So, last Saturday I had an Amazing Wow Eye-opening sort of day, when I audited at a classical dressage clinic run by Eleena Kennedy. Lucky for me (but not for the riders) a storm front had come through in the wee hours of Saturday morning and it was a horrible day. So the entire morning was spent indoors discussing theory and watching videos. And I learned so much! I feel like I’ve been walking around with blinkers on. And then a couple of the riders hopped on board and oh my they looked strange! But oth...

Yesterday the equine sports therapist (Julie) came for a session with Elisse. She checked Elisse all over and found lots of sore spots! She is sore in her jaw (she needs her teeth done! Her wither is sore, as are places on her loins and quarters, she has tight hamstrings and in between her back legs, particularly on the off side. I was sup...
