Chronic insomnia is divided into primary insomnia, which is not caused by another medical condition; and secondary insomnia, which can be caused by other medical conditions, or medications, or stress, or anxiety, poor sleep environment, or psychological conditions, such as depression. Friday, June 19, 2009. Sore Throat Herbal Remedy. I was recently asked by a friend for a recommendation for a herbal remedy for sore throat. There is one remedy that I use myself, a traditional Chinese remedy, made from the white part of watermelon rind called Watermelon Frost. Watermelon Frost Compound - 3 gram (Solstice). Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Herbal Remedy for Cholesterol. I was recently asked for a natural or herbal remedy for cholesterol. There is one that comes immediately to mind, it's even been called cholesterol's natural remedy, and that is garlic. Garlic also has antibiotic properties, and has been used that way in many different cultures. This herb, (botanical name: Polygonum multiflorum) also known as He Shou Wu, sometimes Ho Shou Wu is one of the few Chinese tonics that are frequently taken as a single herb. It is available in tablet form, called Shou Wu Pian, which basically means Shou Wu Pills. (It is also part of many traditional Chinese herbal formulas, such as Shou Wu Chih.
