2014 New Bikes and Gear. Monday, February 4, 2013. 2012 Results/Year End Summary. It's been a pretty cool year for us two this year. Being on the local TOP Gear team has been a great help for us to do some new and lots of previous favorite races over the last few years. Thanks to everyone at the shop, esp at Wexford for everything, including use of the Computrainer room earlier in the year. Below is a quick list of some places/results we were flying the TOP Gear flag at in 2012. 9 Hours Cranky Monkey.

Welcome to my little spot in the universe! Monday, October 09, 2006. Not much of a story, just the usual stuff. 75 miles on saturday rounding out an ilake. Poto loop, 50 miles of flat and windy around lansing on sunday. ahh, the spirit of an indian summer weekend, just enough to give you that 'hit by a truck' feeling for work on monday. Welcome to my little spot in the universe! Tuesday, July 18, 2006. Shortest Ride of the Year. Wind and a wee hint of dark clouds on the horizon were not of concern as i rolled out for my monday evening ride. 20 minutes later i was in the midst of lightning-o-rama as that speck of dark clouds was now covering most of the sky. yuk. a quick u-turn and i was barreling down the road with a 20mph gusty tailwind. so much for my planned 2 hrs. Didn't get rained on but the lighting and wind were pretty intense.

What a great weekend of riding and working out on the *cough* road bike (hardtail). with all the crappy weather the training gods have been instigating, i'm sure the racing weather is going to be great this year. Saturday started out great: drive to alex's. So i've been doing some reading (and panic-ing! About this kokopelli thing and get to thinking: well shit, can i even ride 140 miles right now? Here in the flat lowlands of michigan?

Welcome to my little spot in the universe! Monday, August 14, 2006. At least that's what it feels like. full on speed-whapped by life's adventure. I've finally concluded that this is not my year. way too much going on, not enough rest. mentally, i feel much better than i did at this point last year, but the body just doesn't have the high top end that is needed in a 3 hr time trial. which brings us to the o2s. A sprint finish at the end! A quick hitch from the tour bus, car back for shower/bike/fam hooku...

Although it was a bit nippy at the start, the sun shone brightly for another fun day out on the bike. 3 hrs and 42 miles were the stats for the day. paula was a trooper and survived my incessant banter, commentary and possibly annoying pavement riding behavior. shhh. i know the flowers on her bike were happy to see the sun and play in the mud. :).
