Up the Denny Creek Trail at 7 AM we stopped at Keekwulee Falls. Just a nice clearing in the shade before the next series of switchbacks. Beautiful Alpine lake looked inviting to swim, but no swimsuit! Just above the first lake is Upper Melakwa lake. Just a little snow field to cross before relaxing for lunch. Steve the "Photographer" was taking pictures of a rescue.

Once over the first wall you can see the goal at the top. Rest at Emerald Lake (I did, they went over to the snow.).

We don't have an actual race picked out (most of the big races in the East happen on a Sunday, so we can't choose those races), but we still started training. Week 1 is done! 11 more weeks to go. yikes! Let's hope I continue pushing forward with this training schedule. 2) We put a mouse trap behind our portable dishwasher.
