Tales From the Life of Miss. D: Would it be possible to move to Australia tomorrow?
http://mylifeasa6thgradeteacher.blogspot.com/2013/03/would-it-be-possible-to-move-to.html
Monday, March 18, 2013. Would it be possible to move to Australia tomorrow? That sounds so perfect right now, run away to Australia. It has been an "Alexander" kind of day. If you understand that reference, you are a wiz at children's lit. It didn't start out so Blah, it was the middle and leading right into the end. I don't know the moment when everything changed, I think it is the whole looking for a job and how overwhelming it is getting, again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am an elementary t...

Tales From the Life of Miss. D: October 2013
http://mylifeasa6thgradeteacher.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Today, I am just going to write. I don't know what. But, I am determined that before I go to bed tonight I will have a post up. I GOT A FULL TIME JOB! What I don't love, losing my voice, having "talks", and watching students struggle to the point they don't care anymore. I am happy I have chosen teaching as my career. I love it, and I am good at it. I am also happy I chose this little corner of Utah to do what I love. 5th grade boy: Miss D, you have new hair today. People change...

Saturday, October 27, 2012. Things Happen for a Reason. Six months ago I left this wonderful Sister in the hands of a new companion and in the hands of a wonderful ward. I believe everything happens for a reason. There is a reason why I didn't get any of the 8 teaching jobs I interviewed for. There is a reason why I ended up a part time classified job. It has been hard accepting that things are supposed to be different than my plan. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Tales From the Life of Miss. D: Photograph #14
http://mylifeasa6thgradeteacher.blogspot.com/2013/03/photograph-14.html
Friday, March 22, 2013. Website today as I was thinking about activities for my older grades. I thought this idea was fun. So I did it. I thought I would share. A Picture is worth more than a blank page. Take out those dusty photo albums. Pick out photograph #14. Count however way you want but make sure you stop at photograph #14. Look at the photograph for 2-3 minutes. Then for 10 minutes write all the feelings that photograph makes you feel. Don’t censor yourself. I love this picture. But, change did h...

http://teachingislove.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Another Snow Day and MCL! Oh yes, we had another snow day today. Where do I live? You guessed it, in the 8-14 inch range! We have gotten a ton of white stuff this winter. I think we could have gone to school today, it seems that the snow started later in the day. However, I'm not complaining. I realize that making that decision must be tough. I'm hoping to get to school tomorrow but who knows if I will. I can say that I am excited for SPRING! Is your school already doing it?
