http://jo-thegoodlife.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Charting the progress on my allotment in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Monday, 27 April 2015. Photo Medley - April. Here's this month's batch of photos which haven't yet been seen on the blog. A real hotchpotch of things this month. All my container grown fruit has been repotted in fresh compost this year. This photo of my smallest blueberry bush was taken in the first week of April, it's almost in flower now. A few more photos from Yorkshire Lavender which we visited earlier in the month. Post, only one of my ...

The Good Life: February 2015
http://jo-thegoodlife.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Charting the progress on my allotment in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Friday, 27 February 2015. Back in 2013 I treated myself to a new plant each month. I followed one of Geoff Hamilton's tips, buying a plant in flower each month of the year so that I'd have something blooming in the garden the whole year round. It has increased in size though, and as you can see, it's just starting to bud up. It should have a mass of flowers given time. Its flowers are produced in late winter and early spring, so it sounds as...

Tpals Place: Grand opening
http://tpalsplace.blogspot.com/2015/06/grand-opening.html
A little place in a little town where I will stumble along the path to being a little bit greener. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Over the weekend I moved the chickens into the new coop. Three more nest boxes and lots more floor space make it very nice. The most time consuming part of getting it ready was the insulation, but much easier to do it while empty. I'm going to move over the roosting bars from the old coop yet. Otherwise I'm happy with it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Home Grown Journal.

Charting the progress on my allotment in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Monday, 29 June 2015. Photo Medley - June. It's hard to believe that it's time again for my monthly photo medley, half the year's gone already. So, on with this month's round up of photos. I bought a foxglove last year from a local plant sale. At the beginning of the month it was just starting to come in to flower. The lake always looks so tranquil with the weeping willows draping over it. Irises at Harlow Carr. I love this seahorse. My pota...

A south-facing plot on a sloping site in south-west Sheffield, with aspirations to become a vineyard. Tuesday, January 14, 2014. It all adds up. Are you into seed-saving at all? Weve (finally) bought a garden and heritage seeds and seed-saving are going to be a big part of it. PS: Your blog is delicious. It kept me going during my gardenlessness.
