Of movies and books and favourite things. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Is an amusing novel by George Orwell, published in England on 17 August 1945. According to Orwell, the book reflects events leading up to the Russian revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalin era in the soviet union. I very much enjoyed this book; not only because it is basically a comedic retelling of. The Russian revolution but also because it is written very well, and is a good novel to read. 75 out of 10.
