ALL THINGS FOR GOOD. Big Bend National Park. February 17, 2010. Laura, cooking through the freezing wind gusts. High winds caused us to abandon our tent for the 4Runner on the 2nd night. This past weekend Laura and I spent two nights camping at Big Bend National Park. We left San Antonio around 5:45 Saturday morning and made it to the park shortly before noon. The drive is very enjoyable, and the speed limit for much of it is 80 mph… needless to say, we made great time. Laura on the Lost Mine Trail.
