Ally's trip back to the country of her birth. Is it really only 2:00 am? Jet lag is the worst! Ally and I have been wide awake for an hour. I told her we could spend a little while awake but then we really needed to try to go back to sleep. We have a full day today – thank goodness Starbucks is right across the street from the hotel! Thank you to everyone who is praying for us – we feel God’s peace and protection over us! Here are some pictures from the first 24 hours of our journey. Two days to go….

Ally's trip back to the country of her birth. Our first full day was…full! The day started bright and early at a government-owned Jade factory. It was really interesting to see the craftsmen carving the jade and the amazing works of art they produce. From there we headed over to the Great Wall. Ally was in AWE of the size and grandeaur of it all. We lugged our jet-lagged, oxygen-starved bodies up a good section of the wall – I was sucking wind. Ally of course, ran with her new friends.
