Sword Fern understory - alpenglo. July 15th, 2008. No, this isn't an infrared image although it looks like it. The reason the ferns are so bright was because I didn't use a polarizer and the leaves were shiny so reflected a lot of sky. I was visiting the Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton last week and looked out the window to see this scene. I don't know why, but, I had to make a photograph. At the carwash - alpenglo. March 5th, 2010. Scene from the carwash, the moss is gone, the van is white, who woulda thunkit. Last week, I sunk $1800. into having the transmission on my van rebuilt along with some electrical system problems corrected so on the way home, when I passed by a carwash, I felt I had to do it. Literally, there was moss growing on the roof and back and now the van is white again. Posted today. Go look. Between the two, she nailed what I was thinking when I tripped the shutter).

Pat and Stan from Ohio and on the way home with Pat driving, I sat in the backseat and made some photographs with my Canon G9 camera "Pocket Pal". In this case, a digital painting. I optimized the 1/2500 sec at f/8 RAW image capture in Photoshop Lightroom 3 and then took it into Photoshop CS5 for the 'painterly' digital manipulations including adding texture...
