The Path Less Traveled

The Path Less Traveled. Saturday, August 16, 2014. Minnesota Fishing with Rob and Andrew. Fisherman's Corner (COE) campground along the Mississippi River. Looking northwest across the Mississippi. Sunset across the Mississippi. One of my favorite television shows is American Pickers and I planned my trip to visit Antique Archaeology in Le Clair, Iowa on my way up. It is smaller than I imagined. I saw the program where the boys bought this little car. Parked on the main street of Le Claire. Rob and Andrew...

The Path Less Traveled: March 2013

http://alpenlite.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

The Path Less Traveled. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Blythe Island Regional Park to James Island County Park. March 31, 2013. Took most of the day to load up the camper and drive up to Charleston. We made it to the James Island County Park about 2:30 and got the camper set up by 3:00. Rested a little and then headed down to Folly Beach about 12 miles south of us. It was a beautiful day with high in the 70s and sunny. Rain is suppose to move in tonight though. Saturday, March 30, 2013. March 30, 2013. Back in ...

The Path Less Traveled. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. April 8 - April 15, 2013. Monday, April 8, was sunny and warm so we headed for the beach. Spent about three hours soaking up the rays and then went into Folly Beach proper and had some chips and dips and drinks at a local establishment. A very relaxing day overall. I think those binoculars are permanently attached. Relaxing after a hard day at the beach. I love browsing t-shirt shops just to see what they come up with. Tuesday, April 9. Biltmore - the moth...

Ozark Photos: October 2010

http://ozarkphotos.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Celebrating the Heart of America, Her People and Places. Monday, October 18, 2010. Update on a Front Porch of Our Own. These are some shots of the interior of our soon to be new house. Amy says I can't have deer heads though. I had one of my good blogging friends email me today about how the house was coming. It is on track to a close at the end of the month. It passed all its inspections with flying colors and I thoroughly enjoyed my day crawling all over her. Links to this post. Renee's Photo a Day.

Everyone has a story to tell if you will just take the time to listen. Victoria - Ozarks Crescent Mural. Hey, I finally made it back to the Ozarks to stay. Im living above Table Rock Lake in the lower level of a beautiful house. Its wonderful. Carmi's Site: Written, Inc.

Ozark Photos: June 2013

Celebrating the Heart of America, Her People and Places. Sunday, June 09, 2013. Today they were manufacturing pickets for the old portion of the fence. This section has the arrowhead design you see in the one mounted in the Workmate. The ones you buy now are the government safety version. They have blunt picket heads. I simply cut those off and made new ones to match our fence. Tomorrow hail damage repairs begin in earnest at Ozark Photos West. Our new roof goes on and then the fence gets painted. Over t...

I had an opportunity to play with my macro lens the other day around the house in Springfield. The fuzzy images are the result of bringing a cold lens out on a really warm and humid day.it fogged up! A secret technique. Don't tell any one! The bottom image is a lichen growing on my fence. The others are ferns and Queen Anne's Lace growing in the backyard. Links to this post. Celebrating the Heart of America, Her People and Places. Thursday, September 08, 2011. After Hours - Fort Scott. Fort Scott, being a smaller town gets quiet after about 6pm. When I drove in town the other night from attending the Four States Photo Enthusiasts Meeting in Joplin the other night it struck me that it would be fun to photograph Fort Scott after hours or when the lights come on. What I didn't count on is how colorful after hours could be. Hopefully this will be the first of a series.

Celebrating the Heart of America, Her People and Places. Monday, February 28, 2011. Fort Scott National Historic Site. Links to this post. Sunday, February 13, 2011. I know there are a few of you out there who wonder what happened to me. Well, I am still alive and kicking. Changing jobs and locations has changed my entire focus on life to some degree. That is what I want to discuss today. Are people in larger cities more likely to buy things, bigger and better because the neighbors have something? I read...
