Alston Days

Sunday, 30 December 2012. Where did that year just go? The year seems to have flown by. Even my youngest commented about it today and it has got me thinking. What were the good bits, the bad bits, the interesting bits and the sad bits? It's hard to start for fear of missing something important out. Definitely that we are all in good health! Despite a bit of a blip on the old depression front triggered by some counselling, we have all remained in remarkably good health. Good times with wonderful friends.

Alston Days: November 2010

http://alstondays.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Monday, 29 November 2010. I have just been reminded by the lovely Ruth that I haven't posted up any snowy pictures.so here goes. The River South Tyne. View of the back of house (with the arch window) from Tyne Willows. The signal box at Alston railway station. These were taken yesterday, we have had at least another 4 inches since then and it is still snowing. The children have been very happy - an impromptu day off school and a town full of snow! Lots of fun to be had and snowmen to be built. Amazing lit...

Alston Days: All sorts and out of sorts....

http://alstondays.blogspot.com/2012/05/all-sorts-and-out-of-sorts.html

Wednesday, 30 May 2012. All sorts and out of sorts. Spent much of the day listing items on ebay that should have been put on months ago. Another one of those.'I'll get around to it.' activities. The sudden change in weather has made me feel not so bad about being inside and getting on with all the boring jobs. The money is to go towards our Europe trip so I suppose the incentive was there to get me motivated. Our maiden voyage (or trial run! The builder did a great job reconstructing the wall above the f...

Alston Days: Start of 2012

http://alstondays.blogspot.com/2012/01/start-of-2012.html

Sunday, 1 January 2012. Spent a wonderful evening with some friends and their children at New Year. Woke up feeling the need for a walk so borrowed their dogs and set off along the river with Mark. Beautiful scenery. Daisy announced on New Years Eve that she wanted to become a vegetarian. then at breakfast time decided that she meant just chicken and beef and would like a cooked breakfast please! Arrived home feeling the need for something healthy and comforting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Am ve...

In any case, we are off again with our departure set for May 25. Once again we will be journaling the trip at: www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/ourtour2015. Barcelona to Paris and More. April 4, 2014.
