Mrs. Noodles: June 2010
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Isaac, the olive picker, came by this morning with a 5 gallon paint bucket full of bing cherries from the Stockton area. I thought he was selling them, but no, he was giving them! I brought out the smaller bowl and said, "Thank you! He insisted I take more - "Mucho mas! Isaac has about as many words in English, maybe less, as I do in Spanish. So I brought the bigger bowl, and he filled it full. De nada." He grinned. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Twitter.

Mrs. Noodles: March 2010
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 25, 2010. Haven't I seen this picture before? Sure you have, Sherlock," I say, "but that was a few weeks ago, before the leaves and berries got this big.". Notice those little caterpillary-looking things hanging down from all the branches? I don't know why I find this growing stuff so fascinating, but I do! Monday, March 22, 2010. This weather station has a higher rate of accuracy than most. Leoni House is a museum of days gone by, renovated home of the original owners of Leoni Meadows.

Sunday, July 15, 2012. Aleksandr Dropov, the aforesaid cat, is acting strangely. More strange than usual, that is. He still attacks people at odd times, sinking in teeth or claws or both, usually into a forearm. He still LOVES to have his head scratched, but his personality seems altered, otherwise. Since his personality change, he has lost weight, and he no longer catches any pests. The gopher, rat, and mouse population may soon be on the rise. I hope he gets better from whatever it is. Mrs. Noodles: September 2011
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 9, 2011. I am there - twin towers. What follows is what I wrote ten years ago:. I'm still there on that morning, that. I am there, in the tower. I am a teacher, taking my children on a field trip. We have viewed the fabulous view from the top of the tower. The kids have exclaimed over this and that landmark, the lady lifting up the lamp of freedom, the waterways, the Empire State Building that once overshadowed all others; it's been a wonderful experience for all of us.

Mrs. Noodles: July 2010
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 8, 2010. Nothing is better than. As I listened to the ad, I thought to myself, I would rather go without the cheese slice than to have American cheese in my sandwich. In fact, having nothing is better than having American cheese. NOTHING is better than American cheese! Language can be so tricky sometimes. Saturday, July 3, 2010. This evening has cooled off nicely, and I took a walk with my neighbors as the sun was setting. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Twitter. During my substit...

Mrs. Noodles: February 2012
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Aleksandr Dropov, ready for action. If Alek looks like he could be dangerous at times, it is because he is. Last week he didn't put up too much of a fight when, with help, I dosed him with worm medicine. He was wrapped tightly in a towel, his jaws held open, and I poked a peanut-butter-and-pill-laden finger down his throat. The peanut butter held the pill on my finger. He'll probably hate peanut butter forever. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow me on Twitter. The triumph of "...

Mrs. Noodles: July 2011
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 23, 2011. A lot of the suggestions were names I have already used for previous pets - Smokie, Molly, too many to mention. And many were names of friends and relatives, and when you think of the things one might scold a dog for, naming her after someone you know just didn't seem right. I liked Gracie, it seems such an elegant name and has the 'gray' name of her color built in. But my last few dogs have had people names, and I want something more picturesque for a change. In the end Thunder ...

Mrs. Noodles: May 2010
http://mrsnoodles.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 27, 2010. I have set for myself what is turning out to be a bigger task than I thought. I used to be able to sit at the computer for hours and not feel the effects, but now, in just two hours, my shoulders and neck want to be doing something else, digging ditches, perhaps, or quilting. How could sewing be so much easier than typing? I know - I am frequently out of my chair while sewing. It's much better on the body. Family and friends who would like to have access to The Chronicles of Don.
