Always Paddle Your Own Canoe: Sleigh bells ring

http://alwayspaddleyourowncanoe.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-christmas-baubles-are-up-in-covent.html

Always Paddle Your Own Canoe. Tuesday, November 6, 2012. The Christmas baubles are up in Covent Garden and last night the lights were lit on Oxford Street! I really love this season in London. The decorations took me by surprise today since Halloween has only just passed, but the weather feels sufficiently chilly and we are happy to be counting down to our trip home to Canada. This pic of boy one looking little next to the very big bow on the even bigger tree cracks me up! View my complete profile.

Always Paddle Your Own Canoe: April 2009

http://alwayspaddleyourowncanoe.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Always Paddle Your Own Canoe. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Sunday Night in Belfast. I especially like the shot of the farmer being chased down the aisle! Saturday, April 18, 2009. Credit where credit is due. Had a quality experience at the cinema tonight. Stu. And I went to Flash of Genius. Starring the excellent Greg Kinnear. At our beloved QFT. Based on a true story, it tells the tale of Dr Bob Kearns. Fame, an appearance by my favourite, Alan Alda. And also Dermot Mulroney. Who has a nice voice. 8220;The t...

Always Paddle Your Own Canoe. Thursday, November 26, 2009. Think there's some kind of important game on this weekend? Was thinking back over the p. Ast several months and happily realised that I have managed to do enough reading to do a little round-up post for book lovers. In my sleep deprived state (on which I conveniently blame everything these days) I make no promises about the incisiveness of my reviews, but here you go . . . By Stef Penney. Historical fiction set in colonial Canada? Spanning five d...

Always Paddle Your Own Canoe: Go tell it on the mountain

http://alwayspaddleyourowncanoe.blogspot.com/2012/11/feeling-all-wintry-and-dare-i-say-it.html

Always Paddle Your Own Canoe. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Go tell it on the mountain. Feeling all wintry and - dare I say it - Christmasy all of a sudden! I am definitely feeling the vibe. Little wonder considering that this week I've eaten (a couple) mince pies, been listening to Over the Rhine. Christmas album ( download it for free here. You won't be sorry! Reading The Snow Child. Only a little over two weeks until we are Canada bound and the festivities commence in earnest . . . :). How to be happy.

McWicz: Sustainability Eh?

http://mcwicz.blogspot.com/2007/02/sustainability-eh.html

Tuesday, February 20, 2007. In other news, Demitri beat me at scrabble last night 283 to 234. He took a commanding lead when he put down "cleaved" and used all his letters for a bonus 50 points. I on the other hand had 5 'i's', an 'o' and a 'y', which was obviously pretty sweet. Still it was better than being cloistered like last time he put down all his letters! If you loved the movie "Word Wars". You'll be interested to know that this guy (left) just took over number one spot as the US scrabble champ!

Dreams Unlocked: January 2015

http://dreamsunlocked.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 25, 2015. MLK, DOROTHY AND ME. I recently had an experience I thought I would never have in my lifetime. This past October I was introduced to an elderly African American woman in our congregation named Dorothy Cotton. Dorothy usually sits in the row behind my family near the front on Sunday mornings. She is brought to the church by a young family that lives near her. If you google here name, pictures come up of her with King at various events. Dorothy told us a variety of stories about M...

Dreams Unlocked: Seeds in Charleston

http://dreamsunlocked.blogspot.com/2015/06/seeds-in-charleston.html

Sunday, June 21, 2015. Other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop,. Some multiplying thirty,. Some a hundred times. On Wednesday June 17,. Dylan Roof went to a Bible Study at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston South Carolina. An hour into the study he pulled out a gun and shot and killed 9 of the people in the study, including the pastor, Rev. Clementa Pinckney. Some seed missed the soil, hit the path only to be eaten up by birds. That seed fell on good soil - that seed did not die.

Friday, 8 November 2013. You have 10 times more fun than me! Haven’t you laughed and cried and had a whole pile of fun with just your left hand. Who needs a right hand anyway, sure they only bring more trouble? No, they couldn’t say exactly what that something. Was, just that it was something just slightly more slightly more, well, something. smell my beard: iris part two

http://belfastbeards.blogspot.com/2008/06/iris-part-two.html

Thursday, 12 June 2008. I must be a bit slow, but i have just worked out what iris is up to. I have never heard her say anything vaguely religious before, and the day after her husband takes over from "the big man", she is gay bashing, because that is what the bible clearly says and she always does what the bible says. It seems that it is purely a political move to reassure the religious(bigoted) voters that voted for the DUP because Ian was religious(a bigot). Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch?

Saturday, July 5, 2008. Burke and Connelly - good news for fans of crime fiction. What the detective story is about is not murder but the restoration of order.". Is a fun place to hang out and great for crime fiction as well as author readings and occasional live music events - well worth a visit if you're in Belfast. Always Pack A Snack. Travel Tips and Random Musings – Around Town and Around The World. St Louis, MO – Gateway to the West. First stop – The Gateway Arch. And the BF suggested a staycation, for this pretty significant birthday. You know, the one where the front digit turns into another number. September 4, 2014. I'm in mothertrucking Rio - favela edition. 24 hours into my first visit to the country that gave the world Gisele and women the 'Brazilian', and I still can't believe it's real. I never knew I had such a deep seated admiration for this land. It's caught me quite off guard. From the welcoming and helpful greeting at the airport, to the iconic curving coastlines along Ipanema and Copacabana, there is nothing about today that was not real. And yet my day was undeniably unreal.

A blog for everything books. Monday, July 18, 2016. Review: Imposter by Suzanne Winnacker. Obtained copy from: library. Number of pages: 274. I like Tessa mainly because she is the quintessential girl next door. She has flaws, she worries, she doesn't have the best hair or skin, and she makes mistakes. And that makes her story believable. And she has kick ass abilities. As you are drawn into the story, I found it is very much like Jennifer Lynn Barnes' Naturals. But what I liked is that while the story l...
