Students will focus on emphasis in their art piece. Students will work with recycled materials. They were then able to work on completing an interesting background, using pieces cut out or ripped from magazines. The two pieces were then combined to create an interesting composition. Monday, May 11, 2015. Georgetown Elementary 1st grade Chickens. Kindergarten artists at Georgetown Elementary had fun drawing and coloring these bright chickens. The artists learned they could use simple shapes to create their chickens. They started by tracing a circle for the head. They drew triangles and ovals for the beaks and feathers. A rectangle or square was used for the box, a circle for the sun, and ovals for the eggs. Here are just a few of our masterpieces! I can carefully use oil pastels.
