IP&T Happenings: Final Blog Reflection
http://roxybyu.blogspot.com/2010/12/final-blog-reflection.html
Thursday, December 16, 2010. What do you feel is the most useful technology you have learned this semester? How do you plan to use this or other technologies in your future classroom? I will be using a class website to set up group projects, study guides, reading assignments, and general communication between me and the students. I think that all of these methods will be helpful to both me and the students, enabling us to be more efficient in our teaching and learning. December 18, 2010 at 11:30 AM.

http://russell-stevenson.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Teaching Men to Fish: The Morality of HIstory Teaching. Monday, November 29, 2010. For my project proposal, I will learn how to use Virtual Stock Exchange. I haven't been exposed to this technology before, so it should be interesting, to say the least. It will help me to teach the Great Depression as well as the idea of "stock market bubbles.". Friday, November 26, 2010. Chalk and eraser style. How to do it? 1) Every story is boring; every story is exciting. 2) Show the power. 3) Be a little quirky.

Teaching Men to Fish: The Morality of HIstory Teaching. Saturday, September 27, 2008. Bo Gritz and Mormons Gone Mad- MUST we claim him? As a youth, a man tells me he's voting for a man named Bo Gritz. Sir, why are you voting for him? Because he believes in liberty, my boy! And he's a Mormon.". I never forgot that name. Imagine me reading alone in a library.subtly creepy music playing in background.the kind you might hear on Bourne Identity):. It's very hard to say. Snapping back into reality). Yet schola...

Teaching Men to Fish: The Morality of HIstory Teaching: Another non-linguistic mode of teaching

Teaching Men to Fish: The Morality of HIstory Teaching. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Another non-linguistic mode of teaching. I am preparing a lesson plan for teaching the Vietnam War during the Nixon era. I want especially to highlight how Nixon was able to break the New Deal coalition to his own advantage. Here are the plans. Any thoughts are welcome. The right side of the room will have men dressed as construction workers. Carrying an American flag and chanting "USA! And "Love it or Leave it! Teaching Men to Fish: The Morality of HIstory Teaching. Saturday, December 18, 2010. 1 The technology that will be most useful to me is the stock market simulation Rick introduced to me. It provides a great way for students to actually understand how the free market works and, more to my purposes, how the free market has been known to collapse (either due to internal or external pressure). Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Final blog post for class: Haunting moral questions. 2) Have students compile a soundtra...

Teaching Men to Fish: The Morality of HIstory Teaching. Sunday, November 23, 2008. Stephanie Meyer and the New Mormon Anti-Feminism. Ahthe title of that already sounds like the rant of a leftist in the New Yorker doesn't it? Fret not, my friends.this is very good news. So who knew that a Mormon housewife would be able to tap into the collective psyche of teenie-boppers girls world-wide? One might ask what makes them so gullible, so predictable, so prone to manipulation? But no matter to the adoring fans&...
