the pennington girl: First day of Second
http://thepenningtongirl.blogspot.com/2011/09/first-day-of-second.html
Wednesday, September 7, 2011. First day of Second. I am cherishing those moments, since I know all too soon he will grow up. Should I note the arguing at the kitchen table between brother and sister before these pictures were taken? It is such a sweet photo that does not hint to "teachable moments" that happened just a few minutes prior to this photo. The joys of being a sibling! Kaitlyn is still only three, so this year she and I will begin the process of learning to read. Homeschool preschool! Receive ...

the pennington girl: My Joy
http://thepenningtongirl.blogspot.com/2011/09/my-joy.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. God gave me Myrra (pronounced Mira) Joy five months ago. She is truly a joy, and I rejoice every time I see her smile, hold her tiny hand in mine and smell her plump round cheek. I've already done this, I don't want to go through this again. Please, take this pain away," I would pray continually. But my biggest resounding prayer I sobbed into my husband's chest."why? I remember the moment I felt God's calming voice telling me the answer to my big question, "why? I headed to ...

Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Laina turned four yesterday and Lia turns one on Thursday. How did this happen? So, we had a little party for them both last Saturday and Laina got to invite a few friends over. I made sparkly flower cupcakes and the girls played "pin the butterfly on the flower". It was much fun and I think both girls had a good time. Well, until Lia tried to extinguish the candle on her cupcake with her hand. Ouch. Here are some pics from the day. Laina photographed this one all by herself!

the hoskinson experience: Fall is Falling!
http://hoskinsons.blogspot.com/2011/10/fall-is-falling.html
Saturday, October 22, 2011. Its starting to get a little cooler here now, the leaves are changing, and the girls are finding new ways to have fun. These photos are from the other day, when Laina was begging for me to make her a leaf pile (even though most of the leaves haven't fallen yet). Lia is basically her little shadow, so they had a good time jumping in leaves, hugging trees, etc. Then, in classic Laina form, it turned into a musical, ostensibly directed by Lia:. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. I am usually a black thumb when it comes to gardening, so I am excited that this pot I planted is doing so well! Especially when I don't kill them within the first week) Hooray! I don't remember which type of flowers I chose . but the red ones attract hummingbirds, I have found! I love those little surprises flowers bring. Let me know if any of you know the names of these beauties . Next year you can take an old watering can and make it into something new, too! A Bundle for Joy.

Friday, June 18, 2010. The Breakfast of Jedi. Summer vacation has begun, and breakfasts will never be the same in the Pennington home. We decided to test out the Starwars pancake molds from William Sonoma that Auntie Jenny sent our way. The recipe was so good, I thought I would include it here for you all to try! He was definitely the bad guy of the morning. But we had fun. Look, Reagan even dressed for the part in his Starwars shirt! By the way, that is a Jedi "HeeYaw! Thursday, June 17, 2010. To celebr...
