Short & Small. Big & Tall: May 2013
http://jeffandholl.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Reece turned 8 on May 25th so we headed to the Red Sea for his baptism. He invited a few families to come and be part of his special experience. We were so glad to have the Risleys, the Goehrings, and the Josephsons there with us. I love this giant smile on his face. Pres Risley, our branch president, and our friend Kelly waded out to help them. Kelly was pretty stable, but Pres. Risley and Jeff were not doing so well. Jeff felt like a one-legged man trying to stand up in the ocean. Finally, the baptisma...

Short & Small. Big & Tall: Braithwaite Sister Weekend: September 2014
http://jeffandholl.blogspot.com/2015/04/braithwaite-sister-weekend.html
Braithwaite Sister Weekend: September 2014. We began the next day with some tours of old Plantation Homes. It was really interesting to see these old homes and to hear the stories of the people who lived in them. By the end of the third home we were all starving so off we went to a fun cafe for lunch. The Fickle Pickle was a fun lunch stop in an old Georgia home that had been converted into a cafe. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Christmas Day and he said NO PEEKING. the wild savages: Ayla's 22nd Month
http://thewildsavages.blogspot.com/2013/12/aylas-22nd-month.html
Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Ayla's smile is so contagious. And she seems to be wearing one almost all of the time. I love to see her run into a room with total excitement to see a familiar face. Her giggle. Her run. I guess you could say I'm just a little bit in love. She was all over the place and wouldn't hold still, but she did follow a few commands- "put your hands up high! And, "put your hands on your cheeks! I love watching Ayla play with the doll house and her babies. Ayla is always dying to join ...

The Cole Family: July 2008
http://colefamilywi.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 20, 2008. What has happened in the last 2 months? I can't believe it has been so long since my last entry! One minute I'm in the thick of school and the next minute we're half-way through the summer! But you know what, in my defense, I have been really REALLY busy. Let me tell you what has happened in the last two months, in an abbreviated fashion. Devon is now a 4th year medical student. Yippie! Yes our house is old and has great character, and many many many issues. I may take on another r...

Thursday, February 21, 2013. Ayla's First Birthday Bash. The invitation. We decided to go with a rose theme since it is her middle name. The birthday girl with mom and dad. Ayla Rose's 1st Birthday! The other side of the entry way. Party hats and favors. The food table. Vegetables, ham and cheese roll-ups, chicken salad pitas, banana roll-ups, and spinach dip. The monthly picture board. Blowing out her first candle with the help of TJ and Julian. She was a bit hesitant to dive into the pile of pink icing.

the wild savages: May 2013
http://thewildsavages.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 28, 2013. When I tell people my kids are just twenty months apart I usually get one of two responses, either:. Just wait till they are older and start playing together, it will be so much easier having them close in age.". I might still have rights to sympathy, however, we did have a huge breakthrough this month- TJ and Ayla started playing together. At the beginning of the month I would hear TJ say, "Ayla, come find me! You can choke on that! Trent and TJ rode the Dumbo ride together. We re...

http://thewildsavages.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. First of all, thank you to my next door neighbor growing up, who also happens to be my mom's sister's husband's brother's wife, and also my second mother, Elaine, for taking Ayla's 6 month pictures. The one above is a little preview and a few more are at the end of the post. Thank you, Elaine! My mom made this purple dress for me when I was Ayla's. Age We soaked the dress in oxyclean and drove up to. Havana to buy some new silk ribbon for the sleeves and now. That it is indeed b...

the wild savages: August 2013
http://thewildsavages.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 26, 2013. Here she is on her first day without mom in nursery. She ran right in and grabbed a seat next to TJ. She played with legos without even noticing me taking pictures and singing songs of joy in the background. Both TJ and Ayla are obsessed with washing their hands. Once they start pumping the soap it's hard to get them to stop. We took the kids camping in Destin. Ayla loved to strut her ruffles on the beach. And play in the sand. Ayla loved the tinfoil dinners. The girl loves to eat.

Short & Small. Big & Tall: Christmas Eve means New Christmas Jammies
http://jeffandholl.blogspot.com/2015/04/christmas-eve-means-new-christmas.html
Christmas Eve means New Christmas Jammies. Our family tradition on Christmas Eve is to open one present and that present is usually new Christmas pajamas. The boys are always sure they know just what is in the present so after lots of tossing, hugging, and patting of their presents they open them up. After opening the present and putting on their new jammies the boys all had to demonstrate how awesome they were by jumping off the table at the bottom of the stairs. Grey gets some air.
