The moment Benjamin was diagnosed with Down syndrome felt like someone had punched me in the gut. I mourned the loss of my son; at least that's how it felt. I told God I never wanted to feel that way again. God had other plans. Alexis was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, August 9th, 2013. I mourned the loss of my daughter; at least that's how it felt.
