I always think that it’s amazing that in the 13 years that I’ve lived here on the sunny Isle there are still places that I’ve never been to. Newtown is one of those. From the woods which are full of bluebells and wood anemones…. 8230;to the marshes which are the breeding grounds for all sorts of birds…. 8230;it’s quite a lovely spot to visit and explore.

Saturday, 4 July 2015. So, I have this lovely son. Who has just qualified. As a fitness instructor / personal trainer. Was invited to join a friend on a day out. At a dry ski centre. The friend can ski. Joe did not book a lesson. As the friend said he would teach him. OK, it could have been a broken arm or leg. So a broken finger doesn't seem too bad in the grand scheme of things. But Joe will be looking for work. And supposed to be helping husband at the marina over the summer. Joe's hand had swollen up;.

Thursday, 29 April 2010. Writing Workshop - Untill the next night. I am anxious, trying not to think about what might be wrong. I am trying hard to banish any worrying thoughts from my mind. To compartmentalise my health worries. Separating them from our everyday life. But I am tired, oh so tired, exhausted beyond belief. Trying hard to keep up with my boys. Which I do manage most day's. But my nights suffer for it. The thoughts they run free in the dark. No longer masked by the bright sunshine of the day.

I use this lemon basil often but am having trouble using it all before it is goes to flower. I am nipping those buds off every day. At this point I can’t keep up, better make some pesto.
