Amber Loves to Read. May 22, 2012. Frost, by Kate Avery Ellison. I loved this story. It was very different from other dystopian books I’ve read. Ellison’s writing is very lyrical and enchanting. I loved her descriptions and sensory details. Gabe is an endearing hero and Lia is a strong character. I loved them both. This a delightful story and I can’t wait to read more from this author! Amber Loves to Read. September 12, 2012. The Selection, by Kiera Cass. Okay, I’m going to admit that the reason I wanted to read this book was because of the fun, whimsical cover. Also, I enjoyed the sound of the premise. But I really thought it would be nothing more than a cutesy romance. I was pleasantly surprised and ended up liking this book a lot more than I expected to. I thoroughly enjoyed the world that Cass created and I look forward to reading the next book! I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
