Heroes, Heroines, and History: Santa Monica Pier and Boardwalk
http://www.hhhistory.com/2015/08/santa-monica-pier-and-boardwalk.html
Saturday, August 15, 2015. Santa Monica Pier and Boardwalk. Greetings from Carla Stewart! I'll be posting a series on Route 66 over the next three months, but a recent trip to California and the "end of Route 66" prompts me to begin with what really should be the final episode. However, as I've traveled many sections of Route 66 over the years, I've found that it doesn't really matter where you start as there are treasures all along the way. Terri's Writing Adventures: May 2015
http://terriharr.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. Love's Unfading Light by Naomi Rawlings. Tressa Danell is finished with men- from the wastrel who left her a widow, to the smelly trapper who keeps proposing, to the banker who wants to repossess her bakery. Every hour is spent working to pay off her late husband's debt and keep a roof over her son's head, though it's doubtful she can do both for very long. But one thing's certain- she'll never be beholden to a man again. What a great book! Check out her website. Sanctuary for a Lady.
