Monday, November 8, 2010. Ashlyn wanted an ice cream cake this year. It's a good thing I went easy on the decorations because the cake took me about 7 hours to do! The cake is a Betty Crocker chocolate and vanilla marble cake and has has vanilla Betty Crocker frosting. I used Blue Bunny chocolate ice cream inside. The ice cream melting was my biggest problem. I would be in the middle of doing something with it, and see ice cream starting to leak out the bottom and so I'd have to put it in the freezer...

Too Much Chocolate Cake. 1 (1825 oz.) box Devil's Food Cake mix. 1 (59 oz.) package instant chocolate pudding mix. 1 cup sour cream. 1 cup vegetable oil. 4 eggs, beaten. 1/2 cup warm water. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. We had so much fun! I took so many pictures. It was hard to narrow it down, but here are a few of my favorites. Ian and I went to Midway to camp overnight for our 12th Wedding Anniversary. We went to the Homestead Crater and swam/snorkeled in it's underground hot spring. Conclusion: She was unable to determine the answer because she was unable to keep it from expanding. She did find out that water has the force to crack a steel pipe when it expands as it freezes. She also found out through her research that scientists haven't found a material strong enough yet to withstand the expanding force of freezing water. You learn something new every day!
