I have started a blog for my shop and hope that you will stop on by over there, not sure when i will be back over here! Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Needless to say, ...

American Quilter in Ireland: February 2009

http://americanquilterinireland.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

American Quilter in Ireland. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. The Long and Winding Road! Sooo very sorry that I have been absent for the past week. I have been thinking about my blog and thinking about projects that need working on (that I would love to share), but to be honest with you I have been mostly trying to earn a living! This picture is of a road that we love to travel on! I took this picture in November while FarmerBoy and I were out mapping our cycling routes. We never encounter cars on this ...

American Quilter in Ireland: Snow in Ireland!!

http://americanquilterinireland.blogspot.com/2009/02/snow-in-ireland.html

American Quilter in Ireland. Saturday, February 7, 2009. Yes, you heard me right - we have had a good deal of snow this week! We probably won't see this much stuff for another 20 years so I spent some time taking photos and encouraging the kids to play away in it. The council grits the roads with sand but mostly the main roads which leaves most of the poplulation stranded in the coutryside. The backroads were frightening, really frightening! I have been a very bad blogger the past two weeks, I have to ge...

American Quilter in Ireland: Just Another Day

http://americanquilterinireland.blogspot.com/2009/01/just-another-day.html

American Quilter in Ireland. Thursday, January 29, 2009. Not much to share with you this past week, we have been very busy lambing and assorted family duties! FarmerBoy is out there feeding the ewes and their lambs, this is the view from my little sewing nook. The weather is lousy hence the rain on the window but you can kinda make out the lambs and their mudders. Gotta run, too much to do today and not enough time to chat. All the best! This looks like a scene near my home. Have a wonderful retreat!

Verry Sherry: January 2012

http://verrysherry.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, 5 January 2012. On January 1st I spent the morning with scissors in one hand, glue stick in the other. By mid day I had my future in clear view. A few years ago I had given up making resolutions in exchange of making visionary boards. What fun! Simply find images that represent your goals of 2012- cut and paste, hang it front and centre. In my kitchen, my eyes rest on it several times a day seeing and believing my efforts will bring forward these goals. While DH is unable to use visualisation o...

Verry Sherry: May 2013

http://verrysherry.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, 23 May 2013. Find it, Frame it. So, I misplaced my life. Actually, it’s just our family photos have been poorly cataloged and at times, swallowed whole by the former business’ photos. It all began with a search for Babydoll’s communion. After breath-holding gasps and three external backup drives, I located a folder titled, Babydoll’s Communion. When I opened it, the folder was empty. Good Lord! I must have been distracted mid-task. Could it be? All I have is one photo from my camera. Like at Ba...

Verry Sherry: July 2013

http://verrysherry.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Friday, 26 July 2013. Today I had beefy barbacoa for lunch. Blame it on schedules, diets or whatever, iron must be missing from my diet. I’ve been feeling faint for days and thought a meaty burrito would be the cure. That, or a cabana in Turks and Caicos. Dublin burritos, sadly, do not EVEN compare to burritos from home. Home is the taqueria at 34th and Balboa. Or pick any one of the other 92 taquerias in San Francisco. Not in Dublin. .first the order queue and then the wait-for-your-food queue. In north...

Verry Sherry: September 2013

http://verrysherry.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, 12 September 2013. Friends to the Finish. My friend Maria and I have so many unfinished projects, I suggested we help one another out. Her daughter Anna just had a baby, just over a month ago and Maria brought me this quilt center for finishing. I think Maria expected some quilting and binding but I found myself adding a border and replicating some insect characters in thread art and applique. Modeled as usual by Babydoll. Tuesday, 10 September 2013. Stroll through Wicklow County. Afterward we ...

Monday, 28 April 2014. Guess Who's Coming Back? The man of the house returns tomorrow morning and everyone is excited. Cutiepie's been most excited lately. She said, “finally, someone to hang out outside with me. I’ll have someone to walk the dog with me and practice camogie and football! 8221; We all have our places I suppose. Nevermind that I’m sporting hot pink nail polish of her doing and just yesterday, I drove to three petrol stations before I found her a slushi. It’s like if my girls went to...

Verry Sherry: Untold News

http://verrysherry.blogspot.com/2013/09/untold-news.html

Tuesday, 3 September 2013. He left on Thursday morning. We suggested that our daughters not to share the news with anyone outside the family just yet. We’re still trying to understand how this plan, his plan, ‘the’ plan—an ‘experiment’ we told them–was going to happen and what it means for our future. With Daddy gone, I wasn’t sure how to answer questions. What I want is a kit on how and where to be happy. I’m willing to bet they won’t want to share the news with anyone then. Im so sorry about your situa...

Speaking From the Crib. Wednesday, December 15, 2010. All I want for Christmas.
