An American Teacher in Brazil.

An American Teacher in Brazil. Friday, June 6, 2014. New York, New York. When I decided to come home I also decided to cast a big net. I didn't know where I would end up, so I decided to really shoot for the moon and look into a city I've always dreamed of living, NYC. I applied to a few schools, and one bit back. We talked, we Skyped, and a few weeks later I've signed a contract to teach at their school! What if I hate it there? What if, What if, What if? So, here's to New York! Wednesday, June 4, 2014.

An American Teacher in Brazil.: August 2013

http://americanteacherabroad.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

An American Teacher in Brazil. Wednesday, August 21, 2013. My new "school" year's resolution.be a better blogger! So, I've been back in the BSB for a couple of weeks now and have been busy with new teacher orientation and the start of school. :) I did have a great summer though. It was a busy month but fear not, I ate my way through the United States. It was an absolute blast and the sight of a certain someone flipping out of the boat won't be leaving my memory anytime soon. An American Teacher in Brazil.: June 2013

http://americanteacherabroad.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

An American Teacher in Brazil. Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Many many years ago, in a land called Page Middle, I used to coach cheerleading. It has been a long time since I put up my pom poms but this year they came out of retirement for one more show. For almost two years I had heard all about the elusive "NR.". Oh miss, NR is the best! NR is the best week of my life! I have to have good grades so I can go to NR! 1 Be on time. 3 Probably the most important.NO DRAMA! The girls on their way to a game. How we ...

http://americanteacherabroad.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

An American Teacher in Brazil. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way! As a kid, I used to love getting an Easter basket on Easter morning! I loved the excitement, the goodies, the peeps! And as I got older, the Easter bunny kind of quit coming. It was a serious blow! However, I was always able to go to Target and get my peeps fix. Fast forward to living in Brazil, the Easter bunny doesn't visit and now I can't get peeps! I took this on Saturday so it was pretty picked over. Being fr...

http://americanteacherabroad.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

An American Teacher in Brazil. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Since I had already seen the tourist destinations, I spent everyday on the beach. To be honest, it was great. I was ready for some relaxation and sitting under an umbrella people watching was the best way to do it. At night, we headed out on the town. The sidewalks of Impanema. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Odom Family: October 2013

http://christyandgarrick.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 20, 2013. Aunt Stacie met Aunt Daph and her crew at Oakes Farm Pumpkin Patch while we were at the game. For quite a few years we had a tradition of all of us going to the pumpkin patch so I was thrilled they got to go with their cousins. Stacie said they had so much fun. The pictures should show that! He kept reminding Gaines he got to go alone. Mamaw said he did great on his first sleepover without Gaines except when he woke up with his head stuck under the bed! Aunt Stacie and her boys!

http://christyandgarrick.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 19, 2013. It is Wilson County Fair time! It was a great night to go- not to crowded or hot. Will's favorite this year was the plane ride. I'm not sure if I ever got an answer from Gaines. Will was a little upset after we left because he did not get to pet any animals and Gaines never found the real jail that he has taken his picture in every year - there is always next year boys. Wonder why they are wheezing! First ride - so excited! We ran into Dan and Baby Jacob. Twice in a week! This is...

Friday, May 23, 2014. Singing Cowboys and Firefighters. The boys as much as the fight non-stop, they do play so well together. This week we have singing cowboys and firefighters. Gaines has turned his room into a fire station. I just shut their doors because they have pulled out so much "necessary" stuff for their adventures. Pickin' and a grinnin'. Posted by Christy O.
