Tutto sommato ci si allena con il caldo e poi non lo si sente più, a parte l'ntervento delle allegre zanzare, allorche' viene in mente il lavoro della torsione dell'arco che si pensa di aver compreso a fondo, ma che poi in realtà c'è da lavorarci sopra. Che sia caldo non è poi così male si lavora più rallentati e viene più da sè lavorare bene sullo studio della tecnica. Guerr...

Tensho 天正 - A Blog on Iaido and Kyudo Training. Monday, February 16, 2015. At Kai, the arrow is "Released" (by the archer) towards the target. From the archers standpoint, he watches as the arrow launches towards the mato in somewhat of an arc, landing purposefully into the black and white circle. Thinking back, the launch pad is actually the bow, with the left arm steady and unmoving. The string leaves the mete sharply though and the body tends to keep pretty vertical. Which path should I take?

There definitely isn't anyone there in front of you when you perform the kata. And yet, some sensei can make you believe. That there is someone there and that they are controlling them fully with their spirit. How is this done? Has he created the opponents as is strived for in Iaido? There were 4 attackers in those precise spots, he would likely win the battle?

Tensho 天正 - A Blog on Iaido and Kyudo Training. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. This is how I hold the sword now. Whenever any force is needed to swing it, I don't squeeze my whole hand, but instead apply pressure to my finger tips only. Using light touches, I direct the tip using the pinky and ring finger which are usually nestled into the diamonds created by the leather wrap.
