Thomas Beatie, 34, who was refused medical assistance from 8 different doctors, used sperm from an anonymous doner to get pregnant. His wife of five years, Nancy, helped inseminate him. Sadly i do not have the opening music to "Phantom of the Opera" at the mention of his name) has pulled out all the stops to give us another great Saturday Night programme. This time we see a host of young women competing for the role of "Nancy" in Lionel Bart's popular musical "Oliver Twist." But that is not all, as this time we are also trying to find our "Oliver" too. Sounds like a fairytale doesn't it?
