Another day down… | Reflections of a Navy Wife & Mum
https://jumpskipandahop.wordpress.com/2012/10/26/another-day-down
Reflections of a Navy Wife and Mum. The Silent Ranks aka The Military Wife. Another day down…. On: October 26, 2012. In: Life as a Navy Wife. Could this actually be the first chance I’ve been able to blog in over one month? I see it as a good thing because keeping very busy during a deployment is basically what gets you through. We are just over a month into this ugly deployment and I am happy to say that I am taking it like a champ! I do not take myself as the creative type, but I have surprised myself!

Reflections of a Navy Wife and Mum. Another day down…. Dear Deployment, I Hate You! The Silent Ranks aka The Military Wife. On: October 4, 2012. I wear no uniforms, no blues or greens. But, I am in the military, in the ranks rarely seen. I have no rank upon my shoulders. Salutes I do not give. But in the military world is where I live. I am not in the chain of command, orders I do not give or get. But my husband is the one who does, this I can not forget. 1 Eva @ The Multitasking Mummy. You are commentin...

The Redhead Sez: Ditch the Duck
http://theredheadsez.blogspot.com/2015/07/ditch-duck.html
Finding the humor in everyday life. Friday, July 24, 2015. Councils to enact rules and city ordinances barring people from wearing droopy drawers. Mona Lisa Public Domain image. The latest fad is one I am not really looking forward to revisiting a few years down the road. This craze is not only goofy, but it's leaving a highly visible trail of photographic proof (aka extortion material) of our friends succumbing to this craze. Which fad am I talking about? Ben Stiller - Public Domain image. See a casualt...

The Redhead Sez: The Legend of PrayerBear
http://theredheadsez.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-legend-of-prayerbear.html
Finding the humor in everyday life. Monday, August 10, 2015. The Legend of PrayerBear. You may be wondering what happened to this crazy redhead the past few months. This summer my daughter underwent major surgery. It was an extraordinarily stressful time for my husband and I. Leading up to the surgery, my stress levels were so high, I could not think beyond how many days were left until surgery, much less think of writing a single word for the blog. I was on the phone with my parents and watched as hospi...

Don't Make Me Come Back There...: Not Without Jonas
http://dontmakemecomebackthere.blogspot.com/2012/08/not-without-jonas.html
Don't Make Me Come Back There. Inspired by our true story. Whatever it was, my entry into motherhood was not what I wanted. It was nothing like I had hoped/dreamed/expected/been told/assumed/believed it would be. My firstborn and I endured. Each other for the first eight months of his life. I was food and that was about it. I looked at him and didn't have a clue what to do. He didn't usually look at me so much as past. I know two things about myself now that I didn't know then. He loved to take one squar...

The Redhead Sez: The Standout Teacher
http://theredheadsez.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-standout-teacher.html
Finding the humor in everyday life. Thursday, August 6, 2015. When I was in high school a long, long time ago, I had the honor of having a couple of teachers who stood out from the rest. Yes, these teachers were getting paid to teach, but they had also made it their mission to make a difference in children’s lives. She was Mrs. Betty Stapleton, an English teacher on a mission to educate above and beyond the norm. Her goal was to challenge you to think beyond the printed words on a page. If, in a piec...

The Redhead Sez: August 2015
http://theredheadsez.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Finding the humor in everyday life. Monday, August 17, 2015. What Parent Type Are You? When I was growing up, there were only 2 parenting styles: strict and lenient. It did not matter whether you were that parent's own child or someone else's. If you got into trouble or did something wrong, you received an immediate correction by whoever's parent was closest to the center of activity. Tiger, Helicopter, Free-Range, Elephant, Little-Emperor, and Lighthouse Moms are just to name a few. Personally, I don't ...
